Player impact on the DMs

Post by indio »

Just a quick note, and a little pleading. This is the DMs campaign. Players form an integral part in it, but the DMs decide. When the DMs decide and players decide to either question or complain about it, publically, privately, whatever, then it impacts on the DMs.

I'm looking at this impact on the DM forum right now, and it's oneof those things that really brings you down as a DM.

Please, if you guys want DMs, please respect their fundamental ALFA right to determine how this campaign gets played out. Or you'll lose them, sure as anything.

I have enjoyed my experinces with the Dms here so far and I look foreward to seeing more of what this current team has to offer. If there is anything I can do as a player to help, let me know.

I will say it again - the DMs here are doing a fantastic job. The server is wonderful, and the DMs are even better. I look forward to seeing each of you log in, and I love it when you are there, even all you are doing is eavesdropping. You all are doing great - thank you.

I was going to say something along the same vein, but Mik probably said it more eloquently than I would have been able to, so.. +1. :)

I've only been in the same area as a DM on a handful of times, they have all been curteous enough to answer the questions I throw at them, if they don't have their hands full. And even though due to character reasons I haven't participated in the current campaigns much, I greatly appreciate what the DM team has done to make the server come alive.

As a player, I think one of the best things you can do to help out our dms is make suggestions on improvements rather than complaints. I've sent in some ideas on a potential personal quest and a static and the responses I have received only strengthen the admiration I have for the TSM DMs and I eagerly wait on the time when my character and those of a similar nature get to bask in the DM's light.
