My paladin met the business end of a banite thug squad, but it was a four-to-one fight, so I die with my honor intact.
Current PC: Alora Tuffet-Hopper, foul-mouthed and irreverent bard and Meat, dwarven cleric who likes to punch himself in the face.

Bah I did challenge you to a one on one. You denied. Then charged, and when you went down I healed you, and you attacked again.

For future reference, I'd really appreciate it if I didn't find out about such significant IC events in public ;)

For the record, my 2 deaths didn't count.

However, I must admit that logging into the middle of an orc camp and getting chopped into little pieces, twice mind you, has always been a curiosity of mine.

The first time, nope. I logged off at the gate.

Second time, Wynna was trying to fix me heheh.

Someone got me corpse, too. When I came across a party they thought they saw a ghost!

I think I am all fixed though.

I think I was with him for one of those. We went back to town and Acadius reset teh server. When we got back in we were back at the camp. Wynna was kind enough to help us at that time. Stil don't know why we didn't show up in town though.

For future reference, there is now a custom button 3 in PC Tools that saves your current location to the database. This happens automatically when you AT, and periodically otherwise, but if you've just walked from a dangerous area (rivermoot monster camp) to a safe area (rivermoot town) without any ATing, it's quite possible your last updated persistent location might not be the town (saves every 10 min or so to keep DB lag down). Just click the "Save Location" button before you log out for confidence (or AT indoors before logging out).

The majority of bodies found were found alone and unreported. In other words, they were people who had the brass to go out on their own. Lag or not, their deaths were inevitable.
