Arms crossed across his brawny chest, the dwarf peered up at the mutilated green corpse driven onto the stake. "Only questions being now, where in Moradin's Halls did it come from? And who put it up thar?" Brow beetling and brown eyebrows crawling down over suspicious eyes, he turned his head to glance at the gates to the town, so close to this surprising new decoration at the entrance to the stronghold. The orc on its stake had been outside the gates this morning when the good citizens woke up, and not one could say how it had come to be there or who had killed it. It certainly hadn't been there when your party arrived to seek shelter from the night after a weary day's travel through the mountains and Silverymoon Pass. Gazing up at the bloated, bloody, tusked face, the dwarf said. "Mayhap thar be another question. Which of you travelers be willing to earn a little coin by finding out what's behind this?"
