A very informative post. I hadn't realized that we still had this much activity in NWN1. I don't think I have my copy of the game anymore...

Hey, we're still having a lot of fun.

That is, when we're surviving the [redacteds], dodging the [redacteds], and hiding from the other [redacteds]!

You forgot me... :(

I know I don't play as much as I used to, but...
NWN1 PC:
Now (2017): Bran, naive servant of Lathander, currently thinking about opening a potion shop.
circa 2000: JenWa, proud mother duck and half-crazed sorceress of Shadowdale.

NW2 PC: Kasil Trueforger, dwarven scholar of Felbarr.

Garlus Ironbeard: [d] I was sure there was a reason we brought you along.
Kevorn Trueforger: [d] I'm da funny one and ye're da smart one.

Hm, best guess is about 20% of the list are playing 5th or under PCs... if one has the inclination to play in NWN1, do not let "level 1 catchup" scenarios deter you, there is probably a group of similarly situated PCs to link up with someplace.

There have been a good many efforts to enhance / improve the game over the last half year, whether in terms of eyecandy or other scripted stuff making its way in, may be fun to check out the game again, even just to see the facelifted stuff in action.
ALFA NWN2 PCs: Rhaggot of the Bruised-Eye, and Bamshogbo
ALFA NWN1 PC: Jacobim Foxmantle
ALFA NWN1 Dead PC: Jon Shieldjack

Well my original guesstimate of 30 people still active in the community seems only exceeded by a measly 66.666%
That could be translated to mean I was 33,333% correct, so I'll just go ahead and declare right now that:

I CALLED IT!

It would sound even better if you claimed to be 3/5ths correct. ;)

For people who want in, sessions suitable for low level PCs are being run at least on Tuesdays (SD) and Saturdays (Sembia). PM me for details.

Sessions suitable for dorfy dorfs (ie kin-lovin, ale drinkin, axe/hammer swingin', barely elf toleratin', gem and ore diggin, blacksmithin', Mordinsamman worshippin' dorfs). Monday nights (SD). PM me for details.

All times are 630/7ish pm PST (930/10ish pm EST / 130/2ish am the next morning GMT).

On Sundays, DM Hollyfant is running a Euro-TZ friendly event on SD, click here for details.

We are indeed having a lot of fun.

NOTE: I would like to point out that with the exception of certain rather opinionated individuals, that list is mostly devoid of forum contributors. I guess they didn't know ALFA was floundering.
<Burt>: two dudes are better than one.
