Bierstadt did bunches of em, just google "Bierstadt + Yosemite"

he also painted Sierra Nevada, Rocky Mountain, and Great Plains in his works

With those in mind, and they are pretty special paintings, I'll give it another shot.

The south portion is now complete coach and Darren, so 'm uploading as we speak and will PM you the link once it's ready for you.

There are two modules, both in drectory form, each containing 9 areas, based on the map linked on an earlier page in this thread. 4 textures have been used for each area and if you begin by swapping those textures in the toolset around you will fnd the environment much better suited to your liking within minutes.

Off the top of my head the south module textures are grass 20, desert 1, cliff 3 and snow 2. They may be slightly different in the north, and I may even have used the black texture at the bottom of the list. Muck around and you'll discover it soon enough.

The north module is fully baked but the south is not, so you will need to bake it before you can walk on it. Remember also that if you swap a texture around you will need to rebake the area before you'll see it in game.

All areas in each module are linked via full area transitions, but when you merge the two modules (if you choose to do so) you will need to manually link the southern areas of the north module with the northern areas of the south.

And finally, my apologies, but I have not yet made a castle wall for you to look at. I've been a bit distracted, but will play around with some ideas in the next week or two and send you an erf once I'm done.

Here is a shot of one of the 9 areas in the south half. Given darren's competence as a builder I feel very confident you'll turn this simple foundation into something really special. Good luck.

Thank you for the kind words. I do know that there is a core of helpful builders around here to ask questions or ping ideas off of. So as daunting as the task appears by time, I think the process should be very interesting.

I'm looking forward to walking through all of the areas when you have them available. I have no doubt that they will be amazing.

I had a walkthrough of the northern half of the areas over the weekend (now I need new boots) and got a sense of the scope and scale of things. I think that Indio achieved a very nice Bierstadt-esque take on the Bloodstone Pass. You appreciate this much more when surrounded by towering snowy peaks at sunrise.

I'll look forward to Coach's point of view of course as he the best feel for the place, or as much as one can for a fantasy valley. :)

My thanks for laying the groundwork for this area of the FR.

(team 21-0 and two wins away from state title - but ... defending champ is next who lost only one kid from their last year's championship team :( )

either way my workdays will go from 18 hours to 7 hours in one week LOL

i'll try to sneak a peek though as i am excited to see indio's work

Some of the most realistic geography I have seen on NWN2. If it is textured as well as it is designed, it will be awesome. Top Job.

Sunset in the Galena Mountains

Haven't altered Indio's originals yet, I just thought this was a nice view taken during my initial walk-through that I could share.
