I mean, that is producing new TV shows and regular seasons as we type (not TV movies like Farscape and SG1 to continue, but regular TV show seasons). Which sci/fi shows are your top 2 or 3 and why? No re-runs,
Mine are:
1. BSG
2. SG Atlantis
BSG, because the drama is so intense and the characters so involving. The BS is pretty cool, too, as well as the spectacular space battles (The Battle of New Caprica was amazing).
SG Atlantis, again, intense plots (but not as dramatic as BSG, which is a relief because BSG is soo intense you need a break) and a lot funnier than SG1 (The Mckay / Shephard banter splits my gut). It is also cool if you are into archaeology/history with searching for the ancient warships and technology centers and remnants. And, if you are Canadian, seeing the bright red leaf patch around with Mckay and others. And the Wraith, wow. Also, I love the who is who of sci/fi actors, from Firefly, DS9, SG1 carry overs, Enterprise, etc.
What is the best sci/fi TV show on TV right now?

BSG, naturally. But that being said, on SCI FI Flare folks rave about SG-anyything or Heroes (which i've not watched *ducks* but already here good things...
also, since SFF is populated but lots of French Nerds
(Actually brits i think), Doctor Who gets lots of discussions and what not...
But until Live Action Macross or, AHEM...
BATTLETECH!...
everthing else is American Bile-tal...

<Gebb> ok, what does it mean to be "huggled"? <spidroth_esq> Something terrible. <Squamatus> buggered <Dran> sodomised <Squamatus> by an acorn on a stick <tresca> LOL <Gebb> that didn't help <alynn>
Heroes seems to be in a sophmore slump.
I still like it but the writing and story lines are pretty bad in some parts and really good in others.
Shows that I watch that are in or close to the Sci-Fi genre:
1) Heroes
2) Supernatural (although probably considered more horror than sci-fi)
3) Stargate Atlantis
4) The 4400 (season is finished already)
Looking forward to Terminator: The Chronicles of Sara Connor as well in January.
Probably not in the same category but Chuck and Pushing Daisies crack me up as well.
Why I like those shows... good to excellent acting, intriguing story lines, interesting characters that I can relate to, and they're all shows that keep me guessing and wondering "what if this or that"; stimulates my imagination.
