Yeah, I'm in for Sydney or Queensland...preferably Queensland so Dez gets a look-in this time.

erm.. I may have moved to New Zealand by then..

If I'm not, that time of year(end of Jan) will be a time of huge changes for me anyway.. I'll be leaving my current employer and relocating with my wife to the Gold Coast..

If I can see my way clear I'll come. I'm keen but I wont be able to give a definite answer until much closer, like end of December..
If I've moved to NZ already there's still a slight a chance I can come..

Should we nix Queensland as an option then?

I know i personally will need a bit more time to sort things out than the end of December, particularly flights.

You're moving to NZ? Where abouts? Please don't say Auckland. Don't you know it's meant to be the opposite way around - kiwis move to aussie, not vice versa.

Maybe we should drag you guys over here for a change ;)

I wouldn't mind going to NZ in the summer. Or queensland.

Okay, I'm high chance I'm out. Next year, around that time, I'll either be living in Queensland (should be able to attend) or in Germany (won't be able to attend).

If I can get my passport situation sorted out, I will be in Sydney for the end of their Mardi Gras celebration in February. In case anyone is around.

I think it is safe to say we can call it off this year, at least for Australia Day. Alot of uncertainty in what is happening in the real lives for some people drops most of the numbers out, and this late i cant really get the money together for flights, and probably cannot get the time off.

Later in the year is a good chance, if we can sort something out. If Mik is still coming down end of February and i can find a place to stay, Sydney sounds great :D

I had this weird dream where Swift was in Berlin and traipsed over a christmas fair and didn't know about the ubiquitous roasted almonds.

I guess that's just the kind of mook he is :D.

It is looking pretty grim folks - the Department of State is not going to let me have a passport. I have some folks trying use their "influence" but I think that will not work out. The ACLU may take my case, but that will take years to sort things out. So, for the time being, it looks like I will not be able to leave the U.S. for the next few years, if ever. Grr.

So, Bool was in town over new years and i met up with him today. Explained that this years OzALFACon was pretty much a pass and he suggested that since we were looking to go for Queensland this time around, perhaps we should think about a bit later in the year.

As in, around the start of July, perhaps around July the 3rd when GenCon Australia starts (July 3-6).

So long as it was confirmed early, i know id be able to make that. Bool could also likely make it.
