Props to Rusty, Alara and Brokenbone for getting the Wealth Training underway! It's a massive achievement - something which people for years have promised, so it's brilliant to see all those dreams come to be!

Great work guys! :)

Yay, great going guys! But uh... just one thing - What's Wealth Training? :?
People talk of bestial cruelty, but that's a great injustice and insult to the beasts; a beast can never be so cruel as man, so artistically cruel.

It's where players go to learn how make wealth fast, and keep it for the rest of their lives.

Or, it's where they learn them DMs how not to give out too uber wealth too fast.

Or even better, to not be stingy with it on the other hand.
<Burt>: two dudes are better than one.

The DM corps have been enrolled en masse in a Wealth Training Programme. On a team-by-team basis, DMs will familiarise themselves with the final wealth standards (including the final NWN1 item pricing standards), apply them to PCs (both for individual items and in terms of wealth by level), and discuss appropriate rewards. It was announced in the DM forum, hence non-DMs being unaware.

That is awesome. Standards...training in them...accountability...a level wealth playing field...a cohesive, persistent world in wealth aspects.... When I see how much care and thought are going into getting ready for NWN2, it makes me proud to be here. Thanks and props to all involved.
Enjoy the game

Just want to extend a big thanks to Zelknolf, for the great work that she's showing on the NWN1 Haks. I am sure it must seem like a thankless job at times, but it is excellent seeing NWN1 still moving forwards and your commitment to it seems amazing!

Handing out loot?

Since when did DM's hand out loot?

Seriously, aids to consistent rewards are to be applauded...

I'd just like to say..

Big props to me for being dead sexy..

Its not easy being extremely good-looking but I am up to the job..

Please contain your applause and emotional outpourings.. its not necessary.. really.

Oh go on, if you want.. I can handle your adoration I guess
On indefinite real life hiatus

[22:52] <Veilan> obviously something sinister must be afoot if a DM does not have his social security number in his avatar name!

mmm, never been too keen over more standards and mechanized systems, but...we'll see what happens in practice, when the human factor gets stuck in the cogs.

Wealth in alfa has never been an issue for me anyway, perhaps because i've never cared about it... so i assume there was some major trouble someplace i've not been. In any case, those who made this "training" surely know more than me...so great woohoos

Anyways how can you standardise wealth? by levels/class?? Is the system going to be explained to players (or was it already?)
