A greeting from a new face

Hi all. I was accepted into ALFA about a week ago. I've been playing on the Shadowdale server, first as an elven paladin (who got toasted within hours!) and now a human ranger. I'll mostly be around during evenings GMT but sometimes during the day at weekends as well.

Hello, welcome. I was relieved to see you back, and I promise I won't think of your characters as death magnets just because of that one fireball...

Ah, I am brand new, and the first thing I was warned about was the fireball to the face within an hour of starting. Seems like a great place though, say hi to the bald gnome you may see running around town.

Not sure if it's any consolation, but we haven't had a death to surprise fireball in quite a long time on Shadowdale- hopefully the one that cooked you both fills our quota for a bit. Then again, with a war on IC, might not be the last for a while. Kobold crossbows were the big 1st level killer back in the days of yore. Hope the dice favor your next PC! Hope to meet your next character in game soon.

Good luck in the face of all the present turmoil in SD - definitely let the high level PCs man the frontline until you can accrue some XP and keep chugging those CLW potions.

On a side note if you or any other new peeps are interested in helping out putting together the NWN2 servers please drop any of us builders a PM. Fresh creative blood would definitely be a great asset to the community!

Kobold crossbows? Kobold Crossbows?!! In my early days in Shadowdale, it was the CHICKENS OF DOOOOOOM!!!
