Peter regened from the explosion fine in the episode that took ando and hiro to the future, so no reason he couldn't do so. Only reason that would stop him is something that would prevent his heart or his brain from working (eg shard of glass to the brain prevented regeneration until it was removed, stick to the brain of claire likewise)
So unless he fell through plate glass windows or head first onto a flagpole Southpark style (go kenny!) he will be fine.

The time it took for the explosion to happen, you just may be right. they would have been talking on the way up I am sure as they were so close and these were final moments (so they thought) Peter could have convinced Nathan that "he had it from there" and continued on to a safer height.NESchampion wrote:Never know, Nathan could've just tossed Peter up when they got going fast, and then shot off another direction fast. The explosion would've masked him from view.Danubus wrote:Nathan wont be, though
Anyone suspicious of Grandma being the evil that is greater than Sylar, that the little girl spoke of? She gives me the heebie-jeebies for some reason.

I think the Greater Evil will be a new villain in season 2. While Sylar has been an extremely good villain, there is only so long they can stretch him out, and i think stretching him too much further would have got boring. It was getting somewhat predictable what Sylar would do and who he would kill, i don't think they want that kind of predictability in the second series.
My theory is they havn't quite worked out who the Greater Evil will be just yet, but added it in to keep peoples mouths watering until the second season starts.

I also thought of this but then thought if she did have a power, why didn't Peter absorb it?? Unless his ability to speak with the guy in the wheelchair is a sign of it?maxcell wrote:Anyone suspicious of Grandma being the evil that is greater than Sylar, that the little girl spoke of? Overall, not a bad season finale though I laughed when Sylar dragged himself away into the sewer. Should have killed him off.
Still, as a series it was far better than what the writers of 24 could come up with.

"We had gone in search of the American dream. It had been a lame f*ckaround. A waste of time. There was no point in looking back. F*ck no, not today thank you kindly. My heart was filled with joy. I felt like a monster reincarnation of Horatio Alger. A man on the move... and just sick enough to be totally confident." -- Raoul Duke.
Final episode just finished here! Good episode, but I would have liked to see more of a superhuman fight than what there was.
Some things that didn't quite fit for me over the entire series...
1. After being on a slab in a morgue and coming back to life after having the stick pulled out of her heart, why didn't anyone seem to notice Claire mysteriously disappeared from the morgue? You'd expect some kind of investigation...
2. How did Sylar survive getting shot when the cop first shot him, protecting Molly with the FBI agent and then die from Hiro stabbing him in the stomach with a sword?
3. Why didn't anyone seem to recognise Hiro when he first entered the cafe with that woman who could learn things quickly after he had been there for most of the previous 6 months?
4. In the future, Hiro said he stabbed Sylar, but Sylar didn't die because he had Claire's healing power... but Claire was clearly still alive, so how did Sylar survive being stabbed by future Hiro?
5. If Peter has to concentrate on a power for it to work, how did he come back to life after having glass impaling his brain (being dead also makes it a bit hard to concentrate...)? ... I guess this could be explained if his proximity leech power works even when he's dead seeing as Claire was there...
6. What exactly did Hiro learn in the day his father trained him? Didn't seem like a lot of time...
7. Why didn't Sylar hear pyscho strong woman running up on him with that parking meter?
8. Why was the final battle during the night, instead of during the day like when Hiro first travelled to the future and in Peter's vision?
9. Why was Claire so afraid to shoot Peter dead? I mean... it'd already been proven that death isn't exactly permanent for him...
Or should I just say "it's just a TV program in comic style" and accept it all?

I could be mistaken, but I think Molly said "he". I suspect a completely new and more powerful super villian, as is the norm in comics...maxcell wrote:Anyone suspicious of Grandma being the evil that is greater than Sylar, that the little girl spoke of? Yeah, sounds reasonable. He said he had to think about the person to use their power after invisoman threw him off the roof.NESchampion wrote:Best guess? He was too focused on trying to hold back the radiation power to concentrate on Nathan's flight ability.
It was through her heart, but I'm guessing that's what you meant. Personally I think neither of them regenerated in those circumstances because they would have remained dead anyway on account of the whole stick in the heart and glass in the brain thing.Swift wrote:Peter regened from the explosion fine in the episode that took ando and hiro to the future, so no reason he couldn't do so. You obviously didnt watch the episode well enough then. If you see toward the end of the show they show a manhole with blood smeared toward it like he crawled away down into it. Hes not dead, JimWas also cool to see that Sylar isnt dead

Hmmm... I wonder though, based off a comment when he saw Peter was going to explode, if he is going to go a different kind of crazy and believe himself a super hero, and go all anti-hero?

think youve already answered your question Nick. Hiro goes to th future its in the day time, Peters vision is in the day time... Prehaps then this "final" battle wasent the real final battle at all?
Just what im thinking atm.

Well, it was set to be the day after the election, so unless I missed a day, the day after the final episode... I guess that means that Sylar or Peter could still explode 12 hours after the end of the 1st season... Doesn't seem likely though. Everything that happened in Peter's vision sort of happened in the battle (in New York, his brother said the same thing, the others were all there)
....
Hmm.. I just thought of an answer. During the day when Peter first met Ted he started to splode, but IIRC, Claire talked him down, which she wouldn't have been able to do if she had been killed... but that was the day of the election, not the day after it... so I guess not.
I guess the most suitable explanation is that monkeying with the space/time continuum messed up the timing of the battle.
