So are all FPS games. Except for Tribes. That game is perfection.
obviously you've never played operation flashpoint
If it doesn't have jetpacks, skiing or spinfusors, it's clearly inferior.
Welcome to my ignore list.

Oh, I played it. When the company told me--and everyone else--we'd have to buy the expansion to get playable netcode, I threw it away.
Plus, one save per mission? Seriously? Fuck that.
Gimme Red Orchestra over that any day.

Bah, the expansion was worth it. And the one save per mission thing was easy enough to countervail.
Anyway, the way you were
supposed to play it was on a lan. So the crappy netcode wouldn't matter.
People talk of bestial cruelty, but that's a great injustice and insult to the beasts; a beast can never be so cruel as man, so artistically cruel.

Seems not you
Universities often have giant lan games going down - it's not too bad.

They are tons a fun yes, but buying a game specifically to play it on a Lan is a waste of cash unless you grab it from the bargain bin.

I love playing lan games. Most of the time it is just 3 pc's doing nwn or some first person shooter. At one time me, bringer, and my brother inlaw was playing unreal online but with the pc's hooked up in my house. Even though my brother inlaw sucked at gaming we would use him as a decoy and bringer and i would mop up the competition.*grins*

My old PnP D&D group in SoCal used to LAN once a week. Back then it was the original WarCraft that got most of our attention. Six desktops and wiring... if I were ever to get a group like that going again it would be laptops and wireless.

Anyone have any extra starcraft keys? I'd rather not have to buy the game again, if I can even find it in stores.
