Starcraft 2!
And don't we love Blizzard for it - Sargiel, myself, and the other 2 mac gamers out there.
Too bad I get bored with RTS's within 5 minutes of installing. This looks pretty sweet. Nice lighting.

Maybe, I wasn't quite hooked on tribes.NESchampion wrote:So are all FPS games. Except for Tribes. That game is perfection.NickD wrote:Meh. All RTS games are the same.
I'm expereincing a slight tingling sensation. Maybe this game can remedy the awful letdown that was WoW and WC3. I LONG FOR COMBAT!
obviously you've never played operation flashpointNESchampion wrote:So are all FPS games. Except for Tribes. That game is perfection.NickD wrote:Meh. All RTS games are the same.
People talk of bestial cruelty, but that's a great injustice and insult to the beasts; a beast can never be so cruel as man, so artistically cruel.
Never played Tribes. I've not played a lot of FPS games at all. COD, HL2, CSS and Q4 are the only ones that come to mind. I particularily enjoyed the MP aspects of COD and CSS. But I enjoy FPS games more than RTS games because a good FPS has a story that you feel a part of, whereas every RTS game I've played has just been a variation of "build and rush build and rush" within different environments and with the occassional "revoluntionary new feature!" that doesn't really change anything about the game. The only RTS games I've liked was the original RTS for me, AoEII, and Homeworld 2. (I'm not including the TW series as a RTS)NESchampion wrote:So are all FPS games. Except for Tribes. Current PCs:
NWN1: Soppi Widenbottle, High Priestess of Yondalla.
NWN2: Gruuhilda, Tree Hugging Half-Orc

If it doesn't have jetpacks, skiing or spinfusors, it's clearly inferior.paazin wrote:obviously you've never played operation flashpointNESchampion wrote:So are all FPS games. Except for Tribes. That game is perfection.NickD wrote:Meh. All RTS games are the same.

WoW is actually pretty good as far as MMO's go. Lineage2 would be better if it didn't take 3 years to get your character leveled and noblessed. Aren't really any other ones worth considering, least that are out atm.
