Do you like this new design for the ALFA website ?

The basic design and layout are nice, but there a couple of things I would like to see changed:

1) Color of text on drop-down menus on left hand side is yellow and fades into the background - I cannot read them without squinting and getting really close to the screen. Please change the color to something with a higher contrast.

2) The banner-bar at the top needs more art/design.

Ahem the problem with the PC of the month/HoF character thing is that, for the current characters, Trid had to extract them one by one manually from the screenshot.
This takes a lot of time.

Trid has done several characters: elf girl, drow girl, dwarf, halfling, tiefling, human guy and girl.
The goal is to switch the character each time someone click on a page in the website.

OMG what if.... what if we could have featured characters of the month or something. Put up peoples actual characters for public showing off and stuff.

The DM crews could nominate characters to go up on the site if those particular characters had been making themselves quite famous on their server for the month or something fun.

Would it be occasionally possible to do such a thing? It'd be like a hall of fame thing.

HoF characters popping up with a famous character quote beneath it would be pretty cool (with link to the HoF).

Simply if he could lay out the specific details of what he would need given to him, as the finished product, to add to a page, and the players or persons such as Joos could prepare and image for him to simply add right in, would player character pics be an option?

Like the Hall of Fame/quotes idea. Maybe with them having some different poses or mid emote, like a soldier saluting.

Also, would like it if there was an Expand all/Collapse all button at the top of the menu or on the side.

Excellent. So, I would like to see the current HoF characters modelled up in the NWN2 toolset. Send me a PM for the email adress to send the screenshot to.

V. Inductions


• ALFA DMs vote on induction
• Nominees are inducted if they are found on 60% of the DMs ballots
• DMs will discuss both reasons for nomination and induction via the “Player Review” Forum
• DMs will turn in their ballots via secret PM to a designee
• Nominees not found on 60% of DM ballots remain on the ballot for two more quarters upon which time they are then permanently removed from Hall-of-Fame consideration

I Can't even remember the last HoF induction.
The HoF Induction rules are certainly broken...for only DM's to be able to vote certainly puts a damper on their actual worthiness over other PC's. DM's leave and take hiatus often enough that by the time HoF ballot's are cast many PC's just wouldn't have enough members around to put them into the hat respectively. I have seen many PC's who do most of their RP with other players and get little to no DM activity....that said...the current HoF doesn't really bear much clout IMO...and won't until it gets fixed. (By no means is this in any way meant to take away from the PC's who are already in....as all were around before I ever even joined...and I never heard of any of them)

Reason for pointing this out: I don't think putting pictures of the HoF PC's on the front page will add any mistique to the site..if anything it may even cause some strife do to people who may be disgruntled by the politics....I would emplore the original idea to be implemented instead, which was to have Active PC's all have a chance to be honored monthly(Bi-monthly/whatever).....I would say some basic guidelines would be that a player can only self-nominate once per year and that all aplications(Including screenshots etc.) be sent to the person responsible for maintaining the website. That person can choose PC's based on their application/story/screenshots and input captions as they see fit, or they can simply pull PC's out of a hat. Leave the "how to choose" up to the person doing the work.

Having one's PC put up for novelty appearances on page loading would be something that should be possible for anyone in ALFA to enjoy.

Since this was all my idea I also want paying substantial amounts of money via Paypal from anyone who has a PC appear on the site pages.

I think it's only fair, since it was such a brilliant idea and it was mine and yes.

Okay, what I can do is:
- change the characters colors for Mik, no problem there;
- if some art gifted people can make a small banner I could maybe put it at the same place as the Forgotten Realms logo on Ghost's page:
