What are the odds of someone developing superhuman powers to begin with?
History has showed us that evolution doesn't gradually happen. It makes leaps.
pragmatic (adj.)
The opposite of idealistic is pragmatic, a word that describes a philosophy of "doing what works best."
From Greek pragma "deed," the word has historically described philosophers and politicians who were
concerned more with real-world application of ideas than with abstract notions. A pragmatic person
is sensible, grounded, and practical.

It's just a TV show but when everyone seems to have powers it just sucks energy from the show. Siblings, okay... Mom and son... sure... unrelated hubby and wife? WTF? That's just stupid. Beyond that, the show is okay so long as the writing stays on top of things and doesn't turn into another Lost where you know the writers themselves have no clue what they'll right for the next episode.

"We had gone in search of the American dream. It had been a lame f*ckaround. A waste of time. There was no point in looking back. F*ck no, not today thank you kindly. My heart was filled with joy. I felt like a monster reincarnation of Horatio Alger. A man on the move... and just sick enough to be totally confident." -- Raoul Duke.

Hmm dont know about powers but there was this oriental tough man fighter who's bone density was almost twice that of normal humans.
Then take those who can turn their selves into jigsaw puzzles, super fast, our like armstrong with a super heart.
Now as for flying, timestop, etc... my money is on it not happening.
Made me want more. I swear for the longest time I thought Sylar might even be Peter, but that wasnt the case. I loved the irony of the Cheerleader actually saving Peter.
Does anyone else think Sylar looks like Clark Kent? Very Reeves.
It was cool how they tied some of the heroes meeting each other in the past. It was shame Hiro couldnt save the girl. Next weeks episode looks freaking awesome!
I did think Sylar looked very Clark Kent. I was sittin' there thinkin' that as I watched it. And, I DL'd the episode, so no preview of next week's ep.
"You people have not given Private Pyle the proper motivation! So, from now on, when Private Pyle fucks up... I will not punish him. I will punish all of you! And the way I see it, ladies... you owe me for one jelly donut! Now, get on your faces!"
I missed last Monday (20th) and all the repeats... then I missed the next episode last night too. Where can I download episodes to catch up? Really only need the one before last, I expect last night's will be repeated this week sometime somewhere. Sorry if the info is earlier in the thread, I'm afraid to scroll up incase I see something about an episode I've not seen yet.
Goto NBC.com and find the Heroes link. You should be able to see current episodes to download. Not sure about past episodes. One thing I can tell you is to watch Sci channel. They air Heroes on tuesdays and Fridays if you missed it on Monday. Also, they are going to have a Heroes Marathon coming up. I am not sure the date, but im positive you can find out on scifi.com. Good luck in finding the past episodes!
