Alrighty! Sooo...
When and Where should we ALL meet?
I'll head on into the city sometime after training for lunch, and try and drag Hekate and DaDingo in with me to the best of my ability.
- I think the nerd stores must be visited!
- The Viking exhibition includes 2 chess pieces and a workshop thing that seems a little 'kiddie'. But I could be wrong.
"Come to Viking Village and discover how Vikings lived and worked. Test your skills and learn how to write Viking-style. Play the Viking quiz and use your powers of deduction in the Viking matching game. Discover how and why the Vikings actually made it to North America! Then you can spot the differences on the mural between the Viking way of life and ours."
- Pancakes at the rocks could be a good stop
- There is an 'interesting' exhibit on in the The Museum of Contemporary Art, though then again, there always is.
This time is Erwin Wrum and his famous piece "Glue your brain to the board (do it for one minute and think about Adorno)" Hmm, deep.

OH, and the FAT CAR!

- The Australian Museum has crap all as per usual, except for its
"How to make a Monster: the art and technology of animatronics"
Which sounds kinda cool.
- Alright, so whos brave enough to help me set up another PnP session?
Last time Thang and I did it and it worked quite well, but i had to leave, which I wont do this time!
What I’ll do is actually make a good bunch of COMPLETED character sheets, and we'll run through a basic dungeon crawl quest with some differences to make it interesting. We'll run it at Bools place, and feel free to jump in and out, as it will take a while and I don’t want people feeling tied down and not being able to mingle and drink.
Does anyone have any prefs as to their character, quests or setting?
I suppose it'll have to be in Faerun though..
Unless anyone is up for an Eberron one?
And as for the quests, I want to make it random.. incorperating monsters that have stupid names and/or no one uses.

To update,
We're landing at the unsociable 8am on 27/1/06, Dran has volunteered to meet us (me and Acadius this is btw) and then we are his prisoners. He has threatened coffee and the beach in addition to taunting me with extreme temperatures
We have no place to stay... we have no accommodations for the entire 2 weeks as of yet. We have no plans.... we intend to be rucksack carrying bums.
Anything and everything planned there will be new to us- except pnp to Acadius. I was a D&D and RP virgin until joining Alfa. Unless its something we can do at home I'm really up for (almost) anything.
And bring Dingo!
Lou

Keep the PnP in Faerun id say. You will have a bunch of non DnD nerds coming, so we wont have enough knowledge to be worthwhile setting it in Eberron.
For those living in sydney, we met near the convention centre last time. Would that be a good place to meet again? Or is it too far away from everywhere that has something interesting on this time?

Okay, here's the deal. Starting this Saturday (GMT +13, not the american saturday) I'm going to be internetless until the ALFACon, as I'll be over in Aussie visiting some old friends. Before I leave it would be very nice to know where we are meeting. I would be more than happy to just wander aroudn the streets looking for everyone, but as Sydney is a fairly large city I wouldn't have a hope in the world of finding you. Espcially considering I don't know what everyone looks like.
I'm arriving at the Central Station sometime on Friday, so prehaps if it's alright with everyone we could meet at a cafe or something around Syndey Central, and then head off from there. I don't really mind where, I'm sure there are buses or trains around that I can catch. All I would like to know is where.
