ALFA game coordinating poll

Post by Nalo Jade »

I'd like this to be made into a poll please.

Do you think...

1. No opinion just checking results.

2. We should have a specific area for matchmaking and gaming coordination that all forum users can access and post in.

3. That we should continue with the system of matchmaking gaming coordinating currently in place. You may post on the server for which the game is to be played ( which means only folks already searching that forum will see it and may not be aware of the game. ) You may search for games to join by looking at the Calender of Events...but cannot post there without HDMs doing the leg work for you.

4. Ban Nalo Jade for trying to promote old school D&D play on ALFA.

I know for a fact that polls such as this have been cast in this forum and have not been locked or moved ....

I specifically remember one Vendrin made where I got to be the butt of his joke so I went ahead and included the "Ban Nalo jade" option ahead of time.

If there is anyone out there that thinks this stinks please post...I could just be crazy but this seems to me to be ridiculous and malicious...though of course I can't really prove it and it is just my perspective.

[Edit] Polled up for you, please edit your main post to explain the choices, thank you. CNS

Made it into a poll for you, please stop posting on the subject in other threads, keep pertinant discussion in here.

Deleted your other post, it wont do you any good and will just incite argument on a subject totaly off topic to the one you wish to discuss.

Warning to all Keep this topic only for discussion of this poll. Take any other discussion to the other topics and keep it civil or take it to PM's.

Thank You.

There is no diffrence, only then there was no such rule in place, now there is that is the diffrence. We ask you observe those rules.

Your post which I deleted was, as you last was, totaly off topic. Inflamitory and pointless, especially after my own post. I was either going to lock your thread or delete that post and help you out, giving you the benifit of the doubt and seeing your point, which I agree you do have, even if you cannot present it, I made this into a poll and warned the trolls away. I would have kept it clean for you as well.

I apologise for trying to help you, I will not do so again.

Thank you for your time, my previous warnings are still in effect.

I voted on the premises that you can:
a) ask for players in this forum
b) ask for players in your local server forum

Personally I would rather have everything to do with alfa politics in its own forum. (Election stuff in other words)

I don't think that this sort of thing would help me get DM attention. I got into my first regularly scheduled campaign because I started RPing with one of the core members and then got invited in - later I saw the thread asking for people to sign up.

So long as DM's do this, nobody is going to go unnoticed completely. Outside of that, server forums should suffice.

OK, that's just my viewpoint - as a casual gamer who spends most of his time wishing there was DM online who'd quest me.

Well i voted for its very own forum. I dislike seeing him taking flak over this when the stfu thread was allowed to go on as long as it did. Especialy since it was done in the alfa/nwn/dnd discussion thread.

What's wrong with using the Server Forum to get players together who are local to each other? Isn't that one of it's main functions?

The General Forum is for mud-slinging and character assassination so don't dirty the water

As long as the xp gained from the oas doesnt carry over to waterdeep i think its a good idea. How many players once they hit alfa actually stay on their starting server?
