I've noticed that there is a wonderful competition between members who only enter into a thread around page 8, when it's already long off-topic and turned personal and race each other to the finish line for the lock.

Kids today...

Most threads would simply fade away as new topics divert attention so the 10 page limit acts more like a buglight than anything esle.
