No excuse for doing it wrong ;)

May has been a bad month for mortality and injury. Glad to hear this one is recoverable.
How terrific to hear from you Fionn. Many thanks for all the kind words.

Good news. I'm back in business, on crutches.

It's a humiliating tale, but it needs to be owned. We did some burning off on Sunday, clearing out some old tree stumps we'd had pulled 6 months or so ago. So I piled them up over the site of one such pulled-up stump and burned them. All good.

24 hours later I went wandering (in my thongs) to have a little look-see, mistook a pile of orange ash for clay, and sank my left foot about 8 inches into a pothole of burning cinders. I pulled out mt left foot by jamming my right in alongside it (or I was going to fall over), burning it slightly in the process, but the left was smoking by that stage. Ran down to the dam and soaked it for 30 minutes before making my way back to the house, where the skin remained perfectly intact until my goofy dog decided to stand smack-bang on the sorest part, splitting the skin and making a big mess of things. A week later and I'm out of hospital.

Good to be back. I still blame the dog.

Wait -- you were walking around in the woods in a thong and you burned your feet? --- =P

lol -- glad you are feeling better -- and it was definately the dog's fault, no doubt about it *nods* =D

Thanks, now I'll never get that mental image out of my head.

Glad you're back in the saddle again, Indio. It's things like this that make me greatful I'm allergic to anything larger, or hairier, than an iguana, and the wife won't let me have even one of those.
<paazin> Elves I bet are kinda fun to play.
<BH|werksux> I prefer the trumpet or clarinet

Ah I haven't seen that thread before.

I was looking for Fionn's sightings and found this message.

Sorry for you mate.

Soothing Balms (5Jul08 0806 AM Local)
The loud wail of the halfling child did nothing for the fraid nerves of the mother. Red faced, fists clentched, back stiff and rigid, the hin child bawled as her mother (the healer. the provider. the negotiator.) held the girl's left leg in the air. The child worn mud covered breachs and a equally dirty shirt, the colors contrasting from her head to her toes (save the left ones, currently as red as her face). 'OWWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW', BELLOWED LITTLE Nyka, as her mother removed a particular difficult splinter from her daughter's foot...
<Gebb> ok, what does it mean to be "huggled"? <spidroth_esq> Something terrible. <Squamatus> buggered <Dran> sodomised <Squamatus> by an acorn on a stick <tresca> LOL <Gebb> that didn't help <alynn&gt
