Technical Resurrection
Technical Resurrections are given to PCs when their PC has died as a result of a bug or engine failure, or DM-caused accident. Server teams are required to record all technical resurrections in their DM forum.
Bug or Engine Failure
Players who die as a result of a bug or engine failure and who wish to seek a technical resurrection of their PC should submit an account of the death and explanation of the basis for the technical resurrection to a server DM. Particular care should be taken to mention any witnesses. Players should be aware that server logs will be consulted for evidence in support of this account. The player-provided account must be recorded in the server DM forum and approval for the technical resurrection must be given by the HDM, or in their absence, the server EADM or the DM Administrator.
DMs who directly witness such an incident may of course immediately carry out a technical resurrection. This fact should still be noted in the appropriate DM forum.
Please read the longer discussion about when to override the -10 system.
DM Accident
If a DM accidentally causes the death of a PC, they are of course entitled to immediately carry out an immediate technical resurrection. This fact should still be noted in the appropriate DM forum.
Appeal
Players denied a technical resurrection may appeal against the DM's decision to the DM Administrator. Please note that it will require extraordinary circumstances for the DM Administrator to consider overturning any such decision.
Process
Typically, a DM targets the PC corpse and then casts the spell Resurrection on the targetted corpse object, when not possessing any NPC.
