Why is this crap so complicated?

OK - first off, check the TLK folder. Start > Run (or WindowsKey +R) CMD
cd (change directory) to wherever you have NWN1\TLK installed.

Dir * should look like:

Make sure the file size and extension match above.

type "cd ..\HAK" gets you to the HAK folder, again dir *

Also have my CD keys, but the place there the GOG email says to change them under Galaxy>more>other menu simply doesn't exist , or under "start" menu, which I also have not been able to find

Ignore that Galaxy stuff. Navigate to the folder you have NWN1 installed in and find nwncdkey.ini - open it in Notepad. Update the contents with the keys you got from GOG (directions I posted above). It should look like this (note these keys are bogus)

for some reason my file in the tlk folder has the internet explorer e as the folder, then alfa_8_1(9) 285KB

open a command prompt and navigate to wherever you put the TLK file. That should be [Neverwinter Diamond]\TLK. Type 'DIR' and paste the output here. That will tell me if you have it downloaded correctly.

But, It's looks the same as, except there's a "(9).tlk"

I'm guessing you downloaded it many times, and grabbed the
alfa_1_8(9).tlk to copy over to the \TLK folder

Open a command prompt. Paste in the following:

notepad output.txt

Notepad should open up. Copy/Paste that here (or PM it to me)
