Thanks! Note the docks & first RH area already drain Alea of Ray of Frost & Ice Dagger. More fires won't help without a cost effective wand or staff to put them out. It'd be nice to have a shovel or hoe we could try to overhaul them with.

Sounds to me like we just need more mages. :)

I will look at scroll pricing to see how much the scrolls are going for. That's probably the best way to encourage a bit more.

edit: Would also like to add that crafting such a wand is a great idea for a DM'd quest.

just create a directory in the install folder, one called "hak" and one "tlk" and drop the files in their respective folders. Done!

HAK goes into /HAK

TLK goes into /TLK but I think you need to make the folder

I got the HAK files in, and made a tlk folder, but I'm missing some step downloading the .tlk into the file. The game just won't recognize it there, I am the worst at tech. Probably going to have to wait for reset to try again anyway because it says my CD key is already in use. :wall:

Good grief running out of RoF and Ice Dagger?!
I've walked for hours and never use all mine up, where are you finding all of them?!
Save some of those fires for me! :P

Did you get a CD key from GOG? That should work for you without any conflicts.

What is the error you get with the tlk? Can you post a screenshot of your NWN directory?

I'm pretty weak at tech too ... so don't worry.

I did a copy of the downloaded the alfa_1_8.tlk file to my desktop and then pasted it into C:\GOG Games\Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition\tlk

(your location may be different I suppose)

Probably not helpful but .... god luck

One thing that might confuse you is: You might have to actually create that "TLK" folder!

Actually yes, you will have to create that folder, so if you did not and are looking for it, you'd not find it, so that might be a little bump too.

If you downloaded .TLK into your NWN\TLK folder that should be good (and *.HAK to NWN\HAK). CD Key in use is another issue. You need to go back to GOG and find your multiplayer CD Keys. Go to your account at the top, Games and click on Neverwinter Nights Diamond. Click More, Serial Keys and copy your keys. There's a program to auto-update if memory serves, or you can simply replace the contents of NWN\nwncdkey.ini

(NOTE: NWN\ is where you have NWN Diamond installed)

I made a "tlk" folder and put the alfa_8_1.tlk into it, it's clearly there, but the game says "missing talk table" . . . Am I not downloading it properly?

Also have my CD keys, but the place there the GOG email says to change them under Galaxy>more>other menu simply doesn't exist , or under "start" menu, which I also have not been able to find.

Why is this crap so complicated? :wall:
