Help prevent it from happening by loosening the reins and letting DMing where playing.

"Meta, cheating, Meta, favoritism, blah, blah, blah".

Most people dont care about anyone other than their virtual friends. We arent a CvC world any longer, its all 'by consent'; most (many?) only trust a handful of people to so much as even accept a DM hook (there are countless examples of refusing hooks in various DM forums) so the option to refuse DMing is there (and happens plenty); most DMs have a list of folks they are even willing to DM, the 'trust' is a two way street; and, there is a DMA, presumably you, to field, complaints should they arise.

Ive lost my train of thought here typing so I dont know where I was going with this (aka been in the whiskey). I think basically I was saying there are no longer arms races, there is no CvC to worry about, and who gives a bleeping bleep if some DM is helping their buddies have fun and vice versa by rotating DMing and playing on the same server. You want more people, no?

I'll just say I disagree with you Heero and leave it at that. If you want a constructive debate, I'm willing, but not the preaching.

What, then, do you plan to do to make DMing more attractive so that more players step up?

Better GUI for new DMs, better rules so people don't get blindsided or constrained unfeasibly, and actual formalized training for newbies so they aren't completely overwhelmed are some of my big ticket ideas. I'm willing to listen to others as well.
