Oh em gee. See it. Now.
pragmatic (adj.)
The opposite of idealistic is pragmatic, a word that describes a philosophy of "doing what works best."
From Greek pragma "deed," the word has historically described philosophers and politicians who were

Still some Ninja dwarves and elves ?

Are there some Dwarf-Elf sex scenes ?

Or maybe a dragon fighting with another dragon ?

Note : I know JRR Tolkien story but this is "quite" different so...

Yeah, I hear you. I'm expecting it'll be a pretty good Hollywood action fantasy flick with the obligatory high budget special effects/over the top action scenes, but not really the Hobbit. Good entertainment though I'm sure, as long as you ignore all the stuff that makes zero sense like the last cartoony scene in #2 with the dorfs out Mcguyvering Mcguyver and ... exploding a gold statue on Smaug...

That scene definitely made me think PJ was NOT taking this movie/book very seriously. I vaguely remember reading even PJ himself and the script writers threw stuff in and kind of laughed because they knew they made no sense, but still kept them in the final cut. I guess they said "It's more of a kids' story, wheee!!" somewhat. :?

Spoiler:
To be honest, all elves, in all of the movies, are more or less ninja-ish. But no hurricane axe-dwarves.

No.

Spoiler:
Nope.

It's not the book, but it's not bad. I mean, considering the setup from the first and second movie, you can't really expect things to just disappear from the story. So if you're hoping for no Legolas or "Legolass", you're in for a disappointment.

None of the Mcguyveringness from #2 is present. You do get amazing scenes of the battles though, and dwarves.. my love for dwarves is over 9000 after this movie. Also: dat scene! OMG!

doubled down on the things that enrage me about the other movies. Would be much improved by removing what resembles a plot and drama and just add in more ninja elves and dwarves fighting orcs and stuff. Maybe theres room for pirate orcs too. That would be neat.

I'm done with this crap.
I may watch it at home if i'm sufficiently stupid and bored one day.

But i'm sick of this rubbish of someone taking my beloved hobbit and turning it to the "Transformers 2".

Saw it. In high frame rate 3d, even.

Meh. Never thought a good movie series could be made from a book about a dozen singing dorfs.

Was proved right.
