LA Candidate Questions for AnalogKid

Post by Zelknolf »

Do you have a platform? (What do you want to do? / How are you going to do it?) and if so can we see it? Also, why didn't you post a platform when you self-nominated?

Do you have relevant experience? Projects done? Other game-centric leadership positions?

Why should we vote for you instead of the other guy?

Same questions as with everyone else. Hypothetical situations:

1) The DMA and TA disagree on an what scripted content should remain or be put into ACR. How do you settle this dispute? Who is in charge?

2) The IA and TA disagree what content can be included in hak files. How do you settle this dispute? Who is in charge?

3) The DMA does not punish/moderate an inappropriately behaving DM (alternatively: PA does not do the same with a player). Do you intervene and oversee, or do you stand by the relevant admin's decision?

4) The PA implements X characters per player, and you believe that X is too big. How do you handle this? Feel free to substitute an issue you personally care about.

Please explain your leadership qualities that define you? What are you offering Alfa of yourself?

I offer...the same stuff I always have. Time, effort and being a neutral guy in most things.

Expecting your potential voters do go back and search for your platforms, eh?

Cunning campaign plan. Good luck.

Way to woo the voters. (Consider bribes next time)

Is this "others should do the work" strategy something we can expect for the LA's responsibilities, too?

If so, why run at all? Wouldn't it make more sense to not run, any let others do the work?

For others, here is AnaIogKid's previous LA platform.
Analogkid wrote:Here we go. I want to keep it relatively simple, concise and straightforward.

First....about me for those who don't know.

I'm 36 years old. Live in California, and work in banking and real estate investment. I first played D&D when I was 11 years old and its been a part of my life ever since then. I joined ALFA before it went live, have been a DM, and HDM.

My platform.

Multiple PCs.
One per server maximum.

Electoral Reform.
Each position serves for one year and all run at the same time.

Open up ALFA.
I support the idea of allowing open access to ALFA and getting rid of the application and password requirement. Through all this, I would strongly maintain permadeath and RP as the cornerstones of ALFA.

If elected, I will push for this platform with all the force I can muster.
If not elected, screw you.

What's the big deal? PR-Admin is all about who the most popular kid in school is anyways and not about the "platform" or "vision". Good on you for running AnalogKid.
pragmatic (adj.)
The opposite of idealistic is pragmatic, a word that describes a philosophy of "doing what works best."
From Greek pragma "deed," the word has historically described philosophers and politicians who were
concerned more with real-world application of ideas than with abstract notions. A pragmatic person
is sensible, grounded, and practical.
