I am happy, for I finally got the client extension to work with my GOG game. Here's how I did it.

1) I put all the client extension files in Program Files\GOG Games\Neverwinter Nights 2.

2) I then double clicked the NWN2Launcher.exe file (the file for the actual game, not the NWLauncher.exe for the client extension). This brings up a start menu.

3) I closed down the start menu and tried the client extension, lo and behold, it now works.
