Player group and DM match making service

Re: Player group and DM match making service
Darkmystic has staked his claim, for me to mark them as "Matched and in regular dm sessions" it needs to be so. Are you running regular stuff for them now DM? (or do you intend to do so in the near future?)
*regular can be defined as irregularish as long as their is a broader story and the vigil knows there is more sessions on the horizon.

Yes, they got a campaign arc. T-ice can still play with them of course and give them more trouble.

Re: Player group and DM match making service
Between school, building, teching, and non-ALFAn life stuff, I haven't been DMing MS much. Though it seems most of the Eyes of the Isles are off-server, I am stepping down as their DM, and asking that one of MS's many and fine DMs take over.
Re: Player group and DM match making service
It might help to ask for solid times from each, and to give times for others to based possible meets on. I just got back to MS myself.

*Eyes of the isles shifted to un-dm'd, Vigil shifted to DM'd.

Re: Player group and DM match making service
I could use a dm for my char Rerin Ressi. Any servers are ok. My play time is about 11:30 pm to 2:00 am (-6 gmt) each day. I look more for a weekly event or campaign. Thank you
Re: Player group and DM match making service
Minimal interest remains to play this group. DMing interest has withered (or killed off any chance of a resurgence). Worth keeping?Rumple C wrote:*Eyes of the isles shifted to un-dm'd, Vigil shifted to DM'd.
Re: Player group and DM match making service
Shifted Eyes of the isles and burning shield into a semi-retired category. Still a little more work to do on new player groups. It is on the list (of things to do).

Re: Player group and DM match making service
I'd be interested in EYes of The Isles still, but no DMs forthcoming for it.
Personally, i'm only logging in every so often. Haven't found a decent DM for Zyrus yet ( I might hop over to BG and play with t-ice, don't know yet).

Re: Player group and DM match making service
I'm not really familiar with this group but assumed Cloud or Foam had history DMing them. Are there other PCs currently active that belong to the faction?
There is a higher lvl plot in the background on MS currently, but I think that's Castano's baby for the most part.

Updated after being advised by players on things.

Re: Player group and DM match making service
Kid DM'ed it for the most part IIRC. I think only Zyrus and Tam are left active (within accepted current value of active). Was hoping to bring more in but level differences became awkward, as it often does.Ithildur wrote:I'm not really familiar with this group but assumed Cloud or Foam had history DMing them. Re: Player group and DM match making service
This is a follow up to an idea I had in another thread.
This is aimed at those of us, perhaps of a mid to higher level who feel a bit left out in general from established plots or campaigns.
My idea is we form a group, and pick a server and time for sessions. I don't want to call it a campaign though as my idea is this. Once we have a group and time we ask for a DM. If none is available at the time we come up with, one of us volunteers to DM on the given server. Then depending how regular we want our sessions to be, we move to another server, one which another member of our group DMs us so the prior DM gets his chance to play.
The only rules we follow is that each session doesn't connect RP wise with what happens on the other servers and that we don't pull any shenanigans. Another thing to note is our PCs obviously have to be capable of getting along to a certain degree.
Example: Lets say there are 5 of us who participate in this, and we decide we want to play weekly. That means 4 of us can step up to become DMs on different servers. I step up and DM us on one server week 1, Player 2 DMs us on the next server the same day/time the next week, and so on, as the rotations continues on each month.
Obviously if more sessions are desired, we can try to coordinate them. Each session will be run as the given DM that session desires. Events can range from being a lich trying to take over a city over the course of a year through political machinations and use of evil minions, or it can be a bar brawl one week and saving a farmers daughter from bandits the next.
So who is with me on this? If you're a DM, wonderful. My thought is a good group would be around 5 or so people.
My time zone is PST and I could play for 3-4 hours if its on the weekends late at night down to early mornings if needed, during the week I could play for perhaps 1-2 hours after 10PM or so. Any other time I play is generally as available and time permits.
