The problem as we now understand it seems to be size-dependent. Once upon a time we hard a hard limit of about 2 gigabytes of module space in memory per module... if anyone remembers the bug where anyone dying or putting things in p-storage would crash the server, that was it; the campaign database initializing would push TSM over the 2 gig mark. The mod was trimmed down and we moved to a system where we preinitialize p-storage so it never crashes the mod or gives massive lagspikes.
Then, we figured a workaround that allowed us to grow beyond 2 gigs using the experimental /3GB switch in Windows XP. Since then TSM has grown to a little over 2 gigs. Moonshaes has grown very fast since it went live, and now weighs in at about 2.5 gigabytes. This appears to be approaching a new ceiling whereby even with the /3GB switch, we start to have problems.
For time being, Moonshaes seems to load OK on my hosting rig (which uses vmware for virtualization, as opposed to Virtualbox, which the prior Moonshaes host uses). So, we've swapped hosting for now to see how that works.

Please report any more mystery problems like invisible spawned NPCs, etc my way via IRC or forum PM.

Host machine isn't responding to remote management- could be an ISP or physical disconnect. Should be able to check in on it when I get home from work, 5 or 6 hours from now.

Didn't have a chance to post here, but I was able to bring the server back up shortly after getting back home. Looks like we had a 2-hour power outage that outlasted the reserve on the battery backups. Moonshaes has been back up without further incident since then.
