The latest update has caused all characters in the vault to be invalid, and loading one can even crash the client. I suggest a wipe.

OK, created a new character and did a little walk around. Here is what I found, sorry if any have already been posted:

Character creation not updated to 1.23 skillset

DMFI UI does not toggle

XP Gong in start area not usable

No dialogue for start area merchant

Merchant placards/buildings in town have no descriptions

Can't place anything in returns bins in merchants. Bin opens but can't place anything in it.

No return bin in bard Merchant

Can't enter Jewelers -- interior not built?

Initiating conversation with Barkeep in Boars Tusk and some merchant shops makes you walk behind bar/counter

Bowyer has no Mega Map tag desctription

Bowyer has wierd double or mirror image interior

Merchant pricing seems off -- need to check pricing

Sundries store sells trap kits

Most wandering NPCs have no dialogue

-- Will continue to post as I test

gwynneth corwell town:
  • No background music or ambient noises.
  • "Cow" spawns Badly Wounded.
  • That windmill needs to be higher, if it's to catch any wind. And when the winds shift, it would turn and hit the nearby house roof.

Well it's a Celtic windmill, so don't expect the Irish to beat the dutch anytime soon on that score! Thanks for checking out the server.

gwynneth corwell town:
  • The Slippery Eel bar has no map pin. It can be entered via the door of a small, unmarked house, while the (locked) house next door actually has a tankard sign. The back door of the interior isn't transitioning.
  • There's a textless map pin at a house with a wagon wheel sign. There are two usable doors in the same doorframe. botht he doors claim to lead to the bowyer, but the area they leed to is called "gwynneth corwell tailor". The NPC there sells incorrectly priced wares.
Lowhill Town:
  • The transition to "gwynneth corwell town" is called "New Area Transition" and there's no sign or even a map pin.
  • Betti Pipesmoke has a male voiceset.
Lowhill Interiors:
  • Sally Underhill's dialogue makes the PC address her as "kind sir". Her wares are mispriced, and she sells banned trap kits. given that Sami Undehill sells the exact same wares, Sally's a bit supernumeral. There's a door opening into the room she's in, but it only exists on the outside of the wall and cannot be passed through.
  • Scotty Underoot sells "weapons fit for a hin". Including a quarterstaff that's too big for hins too use.
  • Sofia Pipesmoke has a male voiceset.
Almost all halflings that have a voice, have the same, male voiceset.

I logged into the Moonshaes yesterday and everything seemed good. I ran around the opening area and nothing crashed so everything seemed in order except that there was no way for me to enter the other areas; which might be an executive call so no biggie.

- I had some errors with the returns bin.
- The XP gong is turned off or not bestowing XP.
- Can not swap characters between servers.

Hope this marginally help.

Thanks for looking around.

You should be able to move to other areas outside the town gates - just open the doors. Are you saying the AT's were broken or that you just couldn't find them? If it'd that you couldn't find them, then I'll put some map pins in.

The start area is not up to snuff yet - needs some scripting which we will do as the alst phase.

Since it is a beta server there is no link to the other servers

Holly:

I don't understand your comment re: the door in the lowhill mage's store...."There's a door opening into the room she's in, but it only exists on the outside of the wall and cannot be passed through."

The rest is fixed, but not in the beta mod yet - need to make lmza's etc. - except pricing...waiting on guidelines from admin.

Fixed in Build Version of mod:

1. all trap kits are removed
2. The 2 halfling females now have female voices (I removed their testosterone supplements)
3. Halfling weapon store no longer sells quarterstaves - any replacement for this around in ALFA (e.g. a shorter staff that does 1d4)?
4. The bowyer now has a sign with arrows on it (had to jury rig this one up)
5. Cows & animals now have fixed hitpoints (reset to half/max button needs to be depressed for the blueprints for many creatures in the toolset - note to builders)
6. Druids have same HP fix
7. The slippery eel is in the correct sport mapwise - it does have an inn sign (the other big locked building is an ale warehouse - not built). - back door is now locked.

****fixes will be available for testing when the next beta version goes up on the internet.
