Player/Dm Scheduling

WARNING: OUT OF DATE, IGNORE

I'll keep the current version here:

Heres a simple converter of time http://atm.geo.nsf.gov/ieis/time.html

So there was this server i played on which had a chart (like an excel page) of everyone's game times. Players and DMs. Just so people can see when there might be others on to be able to contact them? Also might help potential DMs identify when there's a gang of empty space.

I'm happy to survey the TSM populace and put something together if you'd like.

It would't be 'live' as that's too much work. Maybe review it every few months.

It wouldn't identify 'closes' sessions where there are already 7 people meeting up and more would cause too much lag under NWN2, thats for players to discuss.

It wouldn't be PC based as they die, so player names (and GSID perhaps)

Probably gather the info and display in three charts Euro, Oz and US.

If it doesn't work then we can just delete it but no harm in trying.

Would people like this? If the general position is no then i wont bother.

If you DO think it's worthwile post here in the following format:

Player: Dorn
GSID: ALFADorn
'Certain' gaming time (in GMT): Tuesday 11am- 2pm (ie not written as 7pm GMt+8 which it is in my home town)
'If i can' game time (in GMT): Sunday 9am-1pm, Wednesday 1pm-3pm
Comments: If you feel them necessary.

PSS - the 'if i can' is not all times you might play, it's when you are realistically often on but can't be a cert. 'Random' ad-hoc gaming is just that and is too hard to think about.

PS - if someone has more than 6 hours per day i shall refer them to PA for advice on game/life balance and potential councelling contacts

'Certain' gaming time (in GMT): Every Wednesday 11pm onwards
'If i can' game time (in GMT): none, tho i do play randomly other times
Comments: I can move my "game night" to any other weeknight (except Fridays), if there's a regularly-occuring DMed session and/or group that merits it.

Gaming Time (GMT): I live in the EST timezone in the US (-5 GMT) so that should make 9PM my time 1AM GMT? Right? I can usually get started around 4PM GMT after putting the ThunderBrats to bed. Weekdays I can run up till around 4AM GMT. Weekends my start time is about the same, earlier can be arranged sometimes, but I can go much later on weekends.

Comment: None besides I like Pizza, Stuffed Chicken Wings, and large chested women... not necessarily in that order.

Player Group (primary): The House Invincible

Play times: Intermittant from 11am GMT East til about 2300 GMT with rarely into later night euro time. I play primarily from work so can only occassionaly get multiple contiguous hours in game. Most of my playing is in 15-30 minute bursts followed by extended afks (as many of you have probably already learned)

Comments: I hate you all. I only continue to play because I know the community would be lessened without my superlative RP skills. It is a weighty responsibility that I bare. I would hope to hear the occasional 'thank you' from other players and to receive the occasional +2 plate mail from DMs. It is the least you can do really.

Normally available gaming time: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday evenings, from about 6 PM Pacific Time on.

Occasional Gaming Time: Tuesday and Friday evenings, from about 6 PM Pacific time on. Sunday later afternoon, around 4:30 PM Pacific time and on.

Comments: I have fallen out of love with ad hoc gaming on TSM (or anywhere really) so I don't log in much right now, even when I have time. If I have a "date" for a game, with folks and/or a DM, then I am far more likely to show up. The random ad hoc stuff though has lost its luster. C'est la vie.

'Certain' gaming time (in GMT): nothing certain, but can make just about any evening GMT-5 time "certain" if I know in advance.

'If i can' game time (in GMT): (as above)

Twin Axes

Can play most times GMT except 3am-11am.

Am looking for a steady group and dm to play with during those hours. Would prefer a set game day and time to casual gaming.

No certain gaming days unless something has been agreed upon, but playing times pretty much start at 19GMT on weekdays and depending on next day and what happens I usually could be on quite long when I make an appearance. Wednesdays are pretty much no can do and weekends have their own rhythm, which is unpredictable.

Comments: None really, but I still DM in NWN1 and am currently diving into toolset of this new beast head first, so playing has lost it´s priority. I´ll be around now and then still and if an euro timed group would form that´d accept a cold mercenary I´d be game for sure.

I think you went the wrong way FD. 9pm EST is 1am GMT.

first stab

before i try and find a way for this to be easy to use (ie anyone can go and change their own times or add themselves) is something like this going to be useful? for new players rather than old? as i'm happy to stop

maybe add a link for an international time converter
