Any significant seconds to Rick's motion? This is not just a DM issue but an ALFA community issue. 3 Admins or HDMs, or combination thereof are required.

As Rick SHOULD be an HDM, not in beta 1 which is the equivalent of doing no more than a proposal, that should really count as his last official action in ALFA. Not granting that status considering the enormous work on TSM FIVE DAYS BEFORE LIVE AND RUSTY ADVERTISES IT AS LIVE ON THE MIRC CHANNEL is very suspect.

We have recalled people for much, much less in ALFA. Inactivity and poor decision making on a couple of issues, which was still debatable.

Half a dozen current and former Admins on record and off about unprofessional conduct, childish name calling, retaliation for complaining, imprisoning players or DMs helping players avoid him, publically defaming people in his role as Admin when they cannot reply without censure, former HDMs who refuse to DM under him, a NWN2 HDM and his entire team jerk around who won't return until Rusty is gone...

Etc, etc, etc.

In a professional organization or work environment any of us are part of, how would this situation be viewed?

I believe the conduct here warrants a recall by any previous ALFA standard.

Otherwise, it is going to be the same story over and over again. There always seem to be casaulties of Rusty's conduct. I would prefer that ALFA2 NOT be built on the bodies of those who were bullied, screwed, quit or used. It is not a good way to start an enduring project.

Last I checked, we should be filled with optimism about a new beginning.

Can I call on rusty to resign?

Seriously, it doesn't seem like anyone is supporting him.

Truth to be told, over 50% of elligible voters saw fit to place him in this position for the third time. So, at least up until that moment he did have support.

I'm betting this has indeed changed since then.

How about another election?

I would think Rick and such could have voted if they were considered DMs, like I would think they should have been.

Otherwise... how many people have quit or not volunteered because of this issue who would have otherwise voted? That does rather break the system a bit.

Either way, what Recalls are for...

I'm pretty sure they got a vote since the election before that. I'm sure someone will come along and correct me if I'm wrong though. As for a change in the picture, I honestly have no idea.

Not sure on that. Bad sign when a former Lead and DMA refuse to work with him.

The irony is that a person any reasonable person would call an HDM, who is billed as HDM of a live server announced by Admin is considered Beta 1 person at the same time.

As such, he actually can't move for a Recall on an issue involving his own DM status and status of his server.

Which is both a beta 1 and going live in 4 days time.

Per the same Admin who advertises the server as going Live on 4/15.

Yeah, because that makes sense...

Okay, so per that they were voting ADMs. So... why the problem granting the leader of the server HDM status after 18 months of work?

Well, just to clarify a few things, I spent about 18 months working on the module that Rick received October 22 last year. Rusty's PMs to Rick tell the rest of the story as far as Rick's DM status for the last 6 months.

Either way, shouldn't someone be the HDM? No taxation without representation and all that?

Regardless of the details of who did what when and how, this mess reeks of a lack of leadership and compromise for the greater good of our little group. I'm seriously disappointed.
Currently laying the smackdown on Faerun as: Keryn Tel'Jora, who is XXX-TREME!!!.
Currently explaining the meaninglessness of it all as Vizian Nazyr.
Currently pointing out all other characters' shortcomings as Stephen the Archer.

This seems sort of silly once it has all been laid out. That is if what has been posted is all there is to it. Each server is a liiiittle too much like an island dictatorship.

Im sorry to see you go Rick. Honestly, you are one of the best Dms ALFA has ever had. Your fair, your fun, and your productive. You dont play favorites and you are genuine. Its a real shame that ALFA has to go through YET AGAIN another debacle.

This is a game. Stop treating this freaking place like a damn United Nations and start treating it like a gaming community...you know? Playing the game and enjoying ourselves. Get over all the stupid rules and whos in charge and get back to the basics. Its whats killed ALFA for years. Stupid nonsense like this.

Rick, do your own PW. Id play there in a heartbeat. Im sure a lot of folks would follow. Enough of the stupid games being played with peoples work and minds here. Its not worth it.
Currently Playing: World of Warcraft.

I was looking at the server page a moment ago to check the password (I can never spell it right even though its easy) and noticed that TSM is listed as in Beta 3 and the HDM as Rick.

So... I dunno where I was going with this.
