Fighter

Fighters can be many things, from soldiers to criminal enforcers. Some see adventure as a way to get rich, while others use their skills to protect the innocent. Of all the classes, the Fighter has the best all around fighting capabilities (hence the name). Fighters are familiar with all the standard weapons and armours. In addition to general fighting prowess, each Fighter develops particular specialities of his own. A given Fighter may be especially capable with certain weapons; another might be trained to execute specific fancy maneuvers. As fighters gain experience, they get more opportunities to develop their fighting skills. Thanks to their focus on combat maneuvers, they can master the most difficult ones relatively quickly.

Sweat and muscle, whether civilized or unschooled, are a fundament of adventuring. A fighter may be much more than a brute. Trained weapons wielders are fearsome opponents. A master of weaponry, be it bow, sword or axe, achieves a level of skill comparable to any fine fingerwork by those who lurk behind the front lines, and discovers a well of physical power in his own body that is a magic in its own right. Nearly anybody may pick up a blade and begin to train with the broadest strokes—and the vast majority of adventurers find the need for sharps or blunts at some point in their career. Only those who survive the often abrupt application of basic lessons will advance to put a sharp edge on their talents. Those that do so, may one day protect or take lives as they please.

Fighter Roleplaying Tips
While fighters are a base class focused on…well…fighting, emphasis may still be made on class RP. Feats, skills and equipment are all part of an individual background and should be selected with the fighting PC’s biography and personality in mind, and the emoted act of training with a weapon in a regular regime is one path that may give depth to the PC.
