Innately magical, the blood of a dragon cannot be awakened fully unless the disciple is fully aware of the implications and the meaning behind the action. All rituals, meditation, or other manners of awakening the blood are directly linked to the ancestor dragon's personality, mindset, and habits. As such, it is also impossible for the disciple to believe he is the descendant of a gold dragon, only to find after awakening the blood that he is actually descended from a red dragon. Doing good deeds and delving into the habits of a gold dragon will do nothing to awaken distant red dragon blood.
