Identifying Items
From ALFA
Items may be identified using an Identify spell. Some other situations can reveal the magical properties of an item.
Potions
Potions may be identified with a DC 25 Spellcraft check. There is no retry on this, and it is handled automatically when examining a potion for the first time.
Scrolls
Scrolls may be identified with a DC 20 + Spell Level Spellcraft check. A retry may be performed every 24 hours, and is handled automatically when examining a scroll.
Additionally, Read Magic may be cast on a scroll to fully identify it.
