Shaaran was a regional language of Southern Faerûn, and the dominant language of the Shaaran people. Other places where it was commonly spoken among humans include: Amn, Calimshan, Chult, Dambrath, Halruaa, Lake of Steam, Lantan, Lapaliiya, the Nelanther Isles, Sembia, Sespech, the Shaar, Tashalar, Turmish, Unther, and the Vilhon Reach.
