A diabolic laugh is sounded in the background and then he frowns.
"I was hoping to be dead", he says.
"I'm sure you did", it smiles at him.
Slowly looking up,he is frowned to what he sees infront of him.
A huge, red coloured, winged humanoid with horse-like legs and firey red eyes.
"You're in my realm now, Toshi Hijikata" it says with a grand smile,
"I've been waiting for one such as yourself".
He looks at the devil with an examening look "And you are...?" he tilts his head as
he asks.
"Mephistopheles" he says with a beaming grin, "Lord of the eigth layor of Baator".
"Baator?". He asks him with an intrigued look.
"Hell", The devil answers.
He nods and asks, "So, I did die, correct?" - The devil nods.
"And, I am in hell?" he asks as he looks around the frozen landscape, "You are surely joking" he laughs.
"Do you think I am joking, Hijikata?" the devil looks down at Toshi from above.
"I... just never imagined hell to be frozen, that is all", he chuckles.
A smirk appears on the devil's face, "I am glad you ar amused, Hijikata".
Toshi looks at him and nods.
"Now, for the reason I have brought you here, you have taken your own life, that perhaps in your
own culture would be something noted as honorable, but not here, not where we are, Hijikata..."
"You are here because I want you here, Hijikata, I offer you a deal, I will only propose this once,
so pay attention".
Toshi nods as he looks up towards the evil untop of a frozen projection of the same place he took
his own life on.
"I have watched you from here, and I must say, I was impressed, well, as much as you can be
impressed from a human, that is", the devil chuckles.
He narrows his eyes "So far, you still havent told me the reason for me to be here with you" Toshi
speaks.
"My, you arent a patient one are you?" asks the devil with an amused chuckle, "Very well".
"I understand that you had an oath to fulfill, a blood oath of avengement, correct?" asks the devil.
Nodding slowly, Toshi asks "Indeed, I had".
The devil smiles and speaks with a sly, and amused grin upon his already red skinned-face,
"What if I could tell you, that your oath can still be fulfilled? what if I can tell you that you
can take your vengence upon that you have sworn upon?"
Toshi's eyes light up as the devil states his latter state and asks, "But for what price, Devil?".
"Ah, but there is nothing free in the world, now is it?" The devil laughs, "No... not at all".
"In exchange to... how shall we call it? Fulfillment of your oath, I want you to join my armies and
assist in the blood wars."
Toshi nods and then looks around, to his right he can see fields of Demons and Devils fighting one
another in a dance which never seems to end. "Kuso... How do I always get myself in to such shit?"
-He mutters in Kara-Turan.
"Well then?" Mephistopheles asks, I did say I will ask you once, not more what is your discision?
He turns his look back to the demon and asks "Well then... Let me understand this correctly", he
speaks as he moves his eyesight up to the devil's eyes.
"You will grant me to fulfill my oath and in exchange you want me to be a part of your army?".
The devil nods, "Yes, was I unclear?" he says.
Toshi chuckles, realizing he did make the devil repeat the offer, perhaps not word by word but he
did.
"Very well then, I... accept", he says while closing his eyes imaging his last moments of mortality.
A loud chuckle can be heard coming out of Mephistopheles' mouth, and an amused smile can be seen.
With a gesture of his hand, Toshi's body begins to boil, burn and deform, he kneels and screams out
of the pain which is inflicted upon him.
Suddenly, a pair of wings come out of his back, spreading wide across, his eyes turn to shiny red
and horns come out of his forhead.
Still, kneeling, he curses himself for his discision and knows he has only done this in order to
fulfill his oath... and perhaps... to see her face once again.
