Active Aussie or Nz players?

Post by borgia »

Looking back after long time away and wondered if there was much action evenings in my time zone. I sees few familiar names and would be fun to play again.

Borgia was the ALFA DM I ever interacted with.

My PC had been dying on the outskirts of Triboar for 3 RL days (back then you could stabilize at -5 and then just kind of ...... lie there)

He kindly let my little lvl 1 Elf rogue live. Amelor was subsequently killed by Borgia and Illialid by earth elementals at lvl 4 in a near TPK ( that's old ALFA acronym for "Total Party Kill" ..... something that also happened back in the old days.)

Welcome back! Get in game!

(( ps -- I also still miss TLR a lot ))

Fixed that for you :P

There are a number of auzzies around, but I'll let them speak for themselves. Current gameage does seem to largely happen so that auzzies and euros stretch to game on American times.

Welcome back to fun and games! And while Exodus is now closed shop, Amn is being resurrected as an alfa server. :) (Though it must have been quite a while sense you were at Exo, either, since I'm not recalling.)

There are some, though I am not sure any are even aussies these days :D

Dorn still plays, but he is on weird perth time. I am a DM though I do not really actively DM unless a PrC calls for it. More behind the scenes type. Creslyn appears sporadically.

Other than that, not sure we have any aussies left.

NickD occasionally moonlights by, but usually you have to hunt him down in Steam - same as with Cres really.

Thangs has fled the ruins of Christchurch now, and should hopefully show his face once he finished a year in Argentinia.

Rotku also seems some sort of quitter, he hasn't been seen since his PA term ended.

Anyway, if you know how to reach the fellows outside of ALFA, you might have some success in drumming them back!

Good to see you back in any case - was fun times, I remember stealing a sword on TLR with help of you and a pixie to trade it for an artifact of the faith, hah. Hope to catch you in game, on either side of the screen!

Cheers,

Present.

Well, in 3 weeks time when i take a months holiday... i'll be on Thai time but playing from noon onwards (NZ evenings!), and getting beaten up in the AM with Muay Thai training :wall: . Anyhow... Thai time is i think NZ - 5. After that holiday i'll be on WA time NZ - 4, times and days to be determined.

Good timing btw Ivan. I've been day dreaming about what kind of PC to make.

To bad there's no bugbears huh?

oh yeah... and revisiting a earlier theme... TLR was good. Ah, the memories.

Hah, better change my sig. I remember pokk, as well as Greoa the wild, Dorn Bearhearten and diverse others.

Actually I'd rather dm than play, where might be best for the gmt + 12ers and I'll go as a player and take a look.

Well, TSM is where the aussie bunch started in NWN 2, so it has tradition...

More seriously, MS could need the attention, and it would allow Swift to play (who's a DM on TSM). Thangorn ran a small aussie campaign on MS, it was awesome. BG is very active and full, so you might more easily pick up others there too, but drawbacks are possibly crowding, bumping into other plots, and not enough seafaring, island-hopping, fey-fleeing and firbolg-fearing!

I'm certain if you offered DMage to the Oceanians, they will come travel to the prophet. Oldest player group of ALFA and still maintains an active forum, thanks to their adopted german brother from another amother .

Rumple still had access, I hooked you up too, borgia - you should find it scrolling down to the player groups.

Would be super awesome to see some aussie action again, fun times!

I'm half here. Been internet-less the past month, due to house move followed closely by an ISP cock-up, but back-online as of Tuesday!

Not sure about jumping back into playing. Depends on the time, and whether I can negotiate another evening off the girlfriend, I guess.
