Brief Guide for New Adventurers

This post is a brief summation of already available information that newly-minted heroes and villains would have upon arriving at the Marches. I've spoken with some people who felt somewhat "lost" upon first getting off the boat, so this should give some ideas if you are alone at level one. I don't believe any of it is "meta", as you can learn the same if not more if you comb through the tavern threads, or if you actually asked an NPC at a tavern.

1. The primary employer of new adventurers in the Marches is the Legion, who are responsible for peace keeping outside of Silverymoon. Their strongholds are Rivermoot and High Hold, and recruitment officers are Marshal Kardelion and Maralraven, respectively. Maralraven enjoys hiding to the west of the south gate.

2. Students of the Arcane (Bards, Wizards, Sorcerers) are invited to enroll at the Lady's College on the south bank of Silverymoon, where classes are offered for a small price.

3. The Vault of Sages on the south bank of Silverymoon are often in need of couriers.

4. Rumors of strange happenings continue to plague the Fochluchan theatre, on the south bank of Silverymoon.

5. Residents on the edge of the great moor across the river from High Hold are often plagued by the beasts of the marshes.

All of this comes with the caveat that even jobs that might seem innocuous can be potentially deadly. It is always better to work with at least one other, even with something as simple as a courier mission.
