Interior Walkmesh Linkage

Post by Wynna »

I would like to lay down the architectural features with their own walkmeshes built in so that somebody entering a room goes up a walkable staircase and onto a walkable landing (made of the walkable floors). I've built it, and the staircase and landing are both walkable. I can put the start point on either one and the PC can run around on either one...but the PC can't cross from stairs to landing or vice versa. How do I link two placed walkmeshes?

Thanks in advance for any tips.

If possible, ensure the Heading of adjoining placeables is identical. It's in Properties.

If that doesn't work, and it likely won't, experiment bridging the gap with the walkmesh helpers. Failing that I can certainly take a look at it, if only to show you how I've gotten around such things previously.

I unbuilt and rebuilt in a simpler way that only required one gap to bridge. Walkmesh helpers did the trick for that. Thanks for the tip, Indio.
