ALFA Art, screenshots & videos

Post by Hialmar »

Please post, your visual art pieces in this thread and I'll add them to the ALFA Art and to the movies section asap.

You'll have to temporarily host them on some free image/video hosting places such as:
http://www.imagehosting.com/
http://imageshack.us/
http://www.theimagehosting.com/
http://photobucket.com/
http://video.google.com/
http://youtube.com/

Then I'll, with your permission, add them to the website ALFA Art, screenshots or videos parts.
Of course your copyright will be added to the pages displaying the art piecese.

Thanks a lot.

Hialmar, would it be unreasonable to simply provide a link to the ALFA Library & Gallery forum section, from the website? No work required that way. :)

For organizational purposes you should actually split it into a thread for art and a thread for stories Whitey. :P

Well the problem is that we risk having a lot of non thumbnailed images there and I'm not sure it would be good.
Plus you might want the more recent images at the top and this won't work with a forum.
A forum is a forum, not a website.

Hmm, is there a possible means to allow 'members' to link their art to the website, so we can dispense with the Gallery feature here, and instead provide a link to the website linking feature? Twiggy doesn't like this Library/Gallery setup. :(

I can open the ALFA art section to any member yes.

Edit: done.

Any member can now add art and screenshots either by clicking on the site control links on the homepage or by following those links:
http://www.alandfaraway.org/addscreenshot.php
http://www.alandfaraway.org/addart.php

Tell me if there is a problem.

Excellent! Will re-represent this once it is tested out. Any members care to test with their artwork? Twin Axes?

Tsk. No place for poorly drawn webcomics.

Alright, i noted a problem, in that it gives me the ability to edit/delete pics. Is this due to my having some form of mod access to the website?
