Would like to suggest you consider the political ramifications if you do the frontal assault route:

An army of adventurers storming a wealthy home is sure to draw the guard/watch unless their blessings are obtained.
There's a place I like to hide
A doorway that I run through in the night
Relax child, you were there
But only didn't realize and you were scared
It's a place where you will learn
To face your fears, retrace the years
And ride the whims of your mind

Jack and Tragnar spent a bit of time wandering around the city near the building. They were scouting comings and goings, getting the layout as best as they could.

Jack was able to find at least one posted city watch and hoped to casually chat him up, gathering information.

(He may or may not have been aided in this effort by the presence of a heavily armored dwarf standing perhaps 30 paces away trying to 'look casual' while edgily gripping the hilt of a huge warhammer as his darting eyes seemed to expect battle to erupt at any moment ;) )

Jack stumbles back to the Safehaven looking weary and tired. He looks a little beat up, certainly hungry as he eats and drinks ale. As he sees others from their band he would relay that he has information about the house in the Northern Ward and a suggested method of defeating the goblin king. They must be discrete. Find a way through the sewers, not by forcing an entrance to the house. Try to find out what the "creature" is and what they're up against.
"Having an adventure shows that someone is incompetent, that something has gone wrong. An adventure is interesting enough in retrospect, especially to the person who didn't have it; at the time it happens it usually constitutes an exceedingly disagreeable experience." Vilhjalmur Stefansson

So sounds like we will have a little planning to do in game.

In an effort to keep our plan under wraps, I am going to suggest we head to the meeting room in the Dripping Dagger. Last thing we want is a spy or 2 forewarning the baddies, because we have been openly discussing raiding the Thayan building from the sewers, in the taproom of the Safehaven.

So if we try to turn up on time (or earlier), hopefully we can get a plan sorted without having to repeat background info too many times as people walk in the door (pc's might assume that C has filled them in on everything in the first post - if you so wish).

Tragnar has rented the attic meeting room at the Dripping Dagger and is having a few ales waiting for others to arrive.
