Pinkpinks PC is named "Zodral Silvith"
pragmatic (adj.)
The opposite of idealistic is pragmatic, a word that describes a philosophy of "doing what works best."
From Greek pragma "deed," the word has historically described philosophers and politicians who were
concerned more with real-world application of ideas than with abstract notions. A pragmatic person
is sensible, grounded, and practical.

Well, I'm out. lol
The last time Drake got to compete in an actual tourney, he only made third place you know.

Pfff. Folk shouldn't flee just because they might not win. The only thing that gets hurt in the case of a loss is a fictional character's pride-- we players know that it's all level differences and dice. Don't get that complex stategy and problem-solving stuff that you get when actually solving adventurey problems out in the sticks.

I thought it was because it is always good practice to let the Wookie (or in this case, local Lord) win....

Hi. Please put "Swordfighting" (any weapon) down for Saturday April 27 7-10PM GMT/3-6PM EST/Noon-3PM PST

Ref is Rumple/Sweetwater

Sweetwaters rules.

1. All sharp/pointy weapons will be made safe to prevent fatalities. Ie - sharp edges cloth wrapped, pointy bits capped.
2. No magical weapons are permitted (m/work is ok though).
3. Combatants may wear a -maximum- of chain mail armor and shield (again, no magical, m/work is permitted).
4. Helms are mandatory.
5. Fights may be won by first blood until yield by the competitors agreement or until Sweetwater judges the fight over for a combatants safety.
6. No magical equipment or spells used. This is a skills based contest. Note some m/work items up to +2 are non-magical.
7. The refs commands must be obeyed at all time.
8. The ref reserves the right at any time to disqualify anyone for poor sportsmanship or disregard for safety.
9. No head strikes.
10.Combatants may choose a single weapon, or two weapons, or sword and shield.

OOC rules

Subdual only
No magic items/effects (feel free to try to cheat if you want - I assume there will be a npc mage checking things over)
Combatants can choose first blood, or until yield (or KO)
12.August.2015: Never forget.

If you do not sign up here.... can your PC still enter events anyway when the event begins? or do we HAVE to sign up here?

I only ask cause I have no idea when i'll be able to login, so do not want to sign up and not show up... but mgiht show and then sign up? :)

I can't say for sure, as it is not for me to say, but, i think it would make it much easier if you signed up. Make it much easier on the refs to know how many people they have and how to set up matches and things.

We will try to amply announce the contests in real time during the event and allow for last minute entries.

Somethings come up and I may not be home until 3-4pm PST on Saturday. If its still going on when I get home, I would love to still participate. If not, i'll just hold back for the grand melee.

Speaking of which, what time will we be doing the grand melee?
