If someone will create an item like this, I'll give it to my testing guru before forwarding to the HDMs.

Such an item, while yes, Mikayla could be trusted with, is far to easily abused. Because what happens if another player makes a drow, and wants one but they aren't trusted enough? Then out comes cries of special favors, attention whatever. There should be a better solution.

I'm not that great at scripting, but wouldn't it be fairly simple to add to the onenter scripts, to check the players subrace, and if drow, it the checks if it's nighttime, and if so apply the bonuses?

What if it becomes night (or day) while remaining in the area? No OnEnter, no change.

Please excuse my ignorance, but is this a bug in the game engine, or is it a bug in something that we do?

It's just another thing that NWN2 doesn't do exactly by the books. I think it functions properly below ground and above ground during daylight, just not above ground at night, like Mik has described.

It's not something doing differently from the books, it's a confirmed bug by Obsidian in the NWN2 Engine.

It's not a perfect solution but probably better then the item one. And it'd be far less cpu intensive then an on heartbeat check.

Theoretically we could use DelayCommands to set up a pseudoheartbeat event that fires once per Light Sensitive PC, once per ingame hour. In combination with an OnEnter handler, that would sort out most of the cases accurately. There might be problems with stacking (or lack thereof), but it's a reasonable way to address the problem.

Let's just ban drow. Or even better, since Mikayla is the only one that plays drow - ban her!

Why stop at a poll? Why not form a special discussion team to weigh out the pros and cons first, and THEN have a poll!

Why settle for second-best when we can ban Creslyn and have the best of all worlds?
