Some rumors filter that a posse is being formed in efforts to find a pair of missing girls. It is unclear how the girls went missing, but some say it is related to a prisoner being held in the gaol. It is also unclear whether the mission is one of rescue ..... or recovery.





Additionally, a human was dragged out of fens into the Angler's Inn by a halfling, aided by the dwarf Fiencely. At first the human warrior was thought to be dead, but soon it was discovered that he was sufferring from an extended paralysis from the bite of some creature of undeath. It is said that the man was recovered out of the nearby fens.

After Merry and Gwindor report to the Legion at Rivermoot tales spread of trolls roaming the Evermoors in packs of three or more with ordinary trolls being the smallest of the lot. They are also rumored to have magical protections that have to be cut through before the troll can be harmed.

A few onlookers followed curiously as Knight Commander herself led a bound man, large and bloody to the jail at High Hold, accompanied with a rag tag band of scouts and adventurers.
Whispers say the man is a known bandit responsible for many deaths.

On other news, a wounded party of legion men returned to Rivermoot after being lost in the moors.
Out of the twelve that left only 5 return.
Word says the legion scouts ran into to a large band of trolls, that tore them apart and so they had to flee. A few of the legion scouts murmur about a disgustingly large Troll. As they fled they could hear him shout after them in the common tongue something along the lines of
"never step in MoorKing land"

A man in red armor has been asking around Silverymoon about buying a large mithril shield.

He is a student at the Lady's College if anyone has one for sale.

An unknown halfling is looking for employment in silverymoon. She hasn't got a lot of skill in the 'outdoors', but she is good at talking with people, and can read, and will not mind cleaning or sweeping up.

She approaches several inns, including the golden oak, to see if they might hire her for coin promising a valuable service.

The inkeeper at the Anglers Inn outside High Hold makes mention of just how dangerous the marshes near the inn have been recently, with a lot of undeaders roaming around. All who go in, do so at their own risk.

An old man with world-weary eyes has installed himself in a corner of the Bright Blade Brandished. Questions directed to Craddock the Bouncer (the proprietor won't talk about him except to say he's an "old friend") earn a hard look and the short response:

"He's there to help those who might need it."

Further inquiry earns a listing of the man's accomplishments (So far he has followed some suspected stalkers, found two lost dogs and even a child who had wandered off from her mother. The last he did for free even though he had had to enter a sewer to find her while earning a few rat bites in the bargain) at the end of which Craddock gives an exasperated snort and shakes his head muttering "old fool" under his breath.

A weary Earthcaller spends a full night among the available tomes on dozens of bookshelves around The Gem, prefering older mouldy shelves in the back corners of inns and taverns or small bookshops and private libraries ...researching Werebeasts of any kind... ...rumor, fact, legend or myth, it is all soaked through and many notes scribbled for future use...

Shortly after he wanders the darker pathways and shops through the city buying supplies for a journey he hopes his preparations will help end in success...

...his company and the good people of Quaervarr note Bu spends almost all of his time near the woodline only rarely entering the town at best and seems to be just a little less approacheable, less talkative, and 'wilder' than when last he visited a year or so ago...

A halfling is writing a letter, seems to be very worried though her flowing script shows a certain style to her words conveying as much of her emotion as possible. There are a few discarded papers, crinkled up. She appears to be a bit of a perfectionist trying to find the right way to say something.

Two murders in the Gem.

The Constabulary was summoned to a disturbance near the Provider's Shrine where a man was cut down in the street. The proprietor of a game shoppe nearby is being detained and questioned.

A short time later, a child discovered the corpse of a younger man, tunic still soaked with congealed blood from a large gut wound, not more than 200 paces away.


Some people speak whispers of a emerging war between rival criminal guilds.

Of late these posters are to be found amongst various establishments throughout the Gem. Each poster has a drawing of what appears to be a book with the word "Knowledge" on the upper right hand corner, along with a crudely drawn drawing of what could either be a man in a wizards hat or a goblin wearing a garden gnomes hat (its hard to tell) on the upper left hand side.

There was a grisly murder in the "Golden Oak Inn". A husband and wife dwarvern couple were killed in cold blood in their room. Whispers on the street speak of it being the work of a thieves guild from a far away land, who struck with a fire demon, and assassins.

A hooded female hin asks about looking for work. She seems awestruck by the city of silverymoon and clearly quite new if one is to judge by her eyes... Even the taste of Ale is a surprise to her.

"Heya. The names Esma . I have no gold, and I'm lookin' for work. Don't mind doin' anything, as long as you can tell me what it is I got to do and I got the skill to pull it off. Have magic and willin' to work with anyone."

Talk in the Goodman's District is that a group of Rods retrieved the body of a local boy from a sewer-well in the neighbourhood. The body was taken to Rhyester Matin's, and later that night a group of burly Knights replaced the broken cast-iron grate sealing the well with one made of forged steel under the direction of a lively dwarf.

Tales of depraved child-murderers, stalking giant spiders, vengeful ghosts and sewer reptiles swiftly make the usual rounds for a day or two.
