Of all the various shou kung fu styles that have been developed in kara-tur, the one recognised as being the most difficult and the most deadly is the sou chi technique. Anyone who wishes to learn it must devote his life to it and must start as a child preferably at the age of 3. He must bathe in the secret lotions, take the secret pills and endure a rigorous diet for 30 years. The worlds fundamental forces are tapped by the 8 octograms. The body will be in balance. A change on one part of the body will have a commensurate effect on another part.
The routines are incredibly difficult to learn; few either qualify or have the strength required to learn sou chi shou kung fu. The first step is to concentrate all energy in the head. After that more weight is concentrated in the feet to build stability. Finally, all parts of the body are coordinated and fused so it acts like a complex muscle, the result is fantastic strength and control. Every once of the body’s strength can be transformed instantaneously to one single part.
Of the very few who achieve this feat their skin becomes like steel, their feet as steady as rock, their breath like thunderbolts, their fists can break stones.
When sou chi is mastered the body changes too. The voice becomes high in pitch and sounds strange to the ear. The character becomes volatile to match the bodies speed. The body while retaining its suppleness becomes impenetrable and impervious to weapons.
He who would attack the tai chi kung fu must expect to die. No normal fighter has ever beaten the technique, but many have died trying.
