I suppose.... but think of it this way.

You take the best paying gig you can find.... it happens to be the night shift on the city watch....

And in 2 weeks of work you have completely changed your life orientation>?

I don't think so.

Bottom line: It presumes motive. It is far far far too rapid. Cop on the beat for 10 years going to lawful... sure.

But I just find it unbelievable.

(But I am generally opposed to scripted alignment changes more broadly so).

You have convinced me. Ok, will remove but I will have to think of some other restriction maybe.
Whoo hoo! -- But seriously ... no big deal if it is hard to change. I don't really worry about what's on the character sheet too much anyway... just RP the character as seems fit. :)

iirc - back in the olden days you could balance out the law points with chaos points by breaking into houses. But I've yet to find a similar chaos- inducing script.
Not hard, but I went with a compromise. If you are chaotic, it shifts you to lawful by 1. Otherwise nothing.
There's a place I like to hide
A doorway that I run through in the night
Relax child, you were there
But only didn't realize and you were scared
It's a place where you will learn
To face your fears, retrace the years
And ride the whims of your mind

I think in general things should tend towards the middle. Extremes are difficult to maintain.

Question, does it really cost 90 gp in character to don a simple sircoat on top of a suit of armor? That sounds flat out crazy to me, like, bug level crazy, which is why I post this question here...

Agreed the customization is too much. I would like to drastically reduce the prices.

If you can give me the area names and the NPC names I will fix it promptly.

1- we don't have Silver or copper pieces
2 - coffee is an expensive import from southern areas its not something you can just get anywhere

I'd like to make the same thug argument for putting out fires. I've been letting them burn instead of turning into a full-on good-aligned PC, which seems more out of character than putting them out for money. I think the compromise of pushing you towards neutral is reasonable.

OR for evil PCs we can allow them to set fires for evil points. That would be rad. It'd be like the leave a penny, take a penny thing at the gas station.

Also - I think coffee is supposed to be stupid expensive in the setting. Like only nobles are rich enough to afford a coffee habit. :coffee:

Yeah, its just kind of broken in general. The real money/reward is in getting spell components from the sewers. Good money for rust monster bits!

Not when you weigh them against the cost of armor and swords

Oh i know.

It was one of those super hard to get things in life called a "joke". I'll start them with a open joke tag in the future for the completely 'humorless' around here.

Like this:

<sarcasm>
<joke>
Hi yer a joke!
</joke>
</sarcasm>

That should do it.

I would like to report a bug: Galadorn does not seem to understand how seriously we should take beverage prices in our 15-year-old online fantasy role playing game.

Sorry for being dense... not trying to give you a hard time, G.
