Dire rat. The Ash rat we encountered was actually much less formidable.

We? Hahaha, awesome. You guys are banding together to explore some of the dungeon areas! I actually didn't anticipate things moving this quickly and apologize for the spawns being off-kilter. I'll look into it and expand my dungeons as well. I actually need some testing of the treasure available there as well.... I put it in but have no idea if it works yet as I couldn't really test it solo. Hope to catch you guys this weekend!

I'm camping this weekend, but hoping to find some of you IG shortly. Note that the ash rats are ranged touch - this ignores most AC unless you're a sneak. The Dire Rats are seriously overpowered as well - I'd reserve them for later encounters areas. I think currently the first thing we find is 4 mobs with a chance of both. That was fine when we could grab a couple a day in the dock ward, or push on if we wanted level 2 in 1 session. As is the server is tre boring until death occurs.

P.S. the asshole ash rats might be my fault. I think El C got them from TPI ;)

Rat Hills, Forward Dumps.

Rats that spawn as part of triggered trap do not drop either a carcass or tail item when killed.

Keep getting spam in the combat log from the RP XP script being unable to determine award level - should likely nuke that until someone has time to fix it.

Seems like it is in the core ALFA haks, otherwise I would.

Galad0rk Bug-report #1: Familiars auto-attack doors that are "Locked" after their controller tries to open it

Area where it happened: Blackstone House

Assumed Priority (from player's perspective): High

This one has proven to have quite the major consequence:

When your Familiar is out, if you click on a "Locked" door, the Familiar automatically charges the door and attacks it.
It happened a few times days ago, and if you're quick enough you can stop the attacks if you know they're coming, or after one or two attacks by the familiar/companion on the door, by the time you right click the beast, and click through the radial options, to either "Unsummon" or change the behavior of the beast, all will be well. Unless......
See image below. :)
The incident occurred just now, the door looked quite innocent enough, no problems or issues getting into the house, even speaking to the fellow at the hearth, then Ramirez clicked the door going downstairs. It was "Locked", so I knew my familiar would attack it, I right clicked him, he reached the door, and then he EXPLODED into a thin red paste sending doggy bones and ribs flying all over the room. The door was obviously (post mortem) trapped (he took 27 damage). So, this "companion auto-attack a locked door", might need some interest ASAP.
Then Ramirex succeeded on 2 DC 15 CON saves (miraculous indeed), and then he lost 199 XP. :(
So! Long story short I think it's certainly important that in the future Mages unsummon before clicking "any(?)" even remotely suspiciously located doors? or.... make your familiars "Stand His Ground" maybe? But if you forget, BOOM.

As of right now, it says my PC cannot summon a familiar until he has bonded with another (does that mean gain a level?), which is not gonna help my squishy wizard survive long without him.... help!

I notice that the last few times I have logged in after a day or more of IG time would have passed that my hit points are not being restored. I get a message saying spells are being restored, but it is not treating my toon as though rest occurred at any point while I was logged out.

I only mention this because the server had previously been providing natural healing if you were logged out for the equivalent of multiple IC days, same as on the other ALFA servers. Has this effect been changed intentionally? If so, that's fine. Again, I only bring it up because it is a change I noticed.

Thanks!

I discovered that area is broken when I was trying to update the mod few years ago

the building in the corner has some bad textures, can't remember if I had to recreate the area or if I could fix it though not sure if it would load in the toolset

Wouldn't load in the toolset for me. Area removed for now. If you have an old version that works somewhere let me know.

Not got anything old that works with that current mod, as I said I had reworked the mod alot adding new areas and removing some old ones in order for stuff to fit the mod is pretty FULL and not alot can be added without removing other stuff. If I recall correctly I reworked the Dump area and access to it . . and removed the northern mountain stuff I had also reworked the naming process to make it easier for DMs to find where something was without having a book in front of them

Not sure how to send you a copy of my version of the mod my dropbox is currently full to the brim and Google Docs does not seem to work with my Mozilla browser correctly.

No worries. Even just your advice has been most useful and appreciated. Thanks!

You should really drop in for some game sometime. :)
