Gauge interest - If I DMed a 1 day a week TSM campaign...

Post by Dorn »

...for lowbies is there anybody out there who'd be interested?

The kicker is it would be 8pm GMT+8 on a week night. A time when NOONE plays currently (hence my own recent absence).

Time zone conversion-- though keep in mind that Daylight Savings is about to start hitting everyone, which will move in opposite directions for the northern and southern hemispheres

Generally speaking, Australian evenings are early mornings in the U.S. and early afternoon in Europe.

If you end up short on members anyhow, you might try to squirm onto the MS or BG teams and post to something like the WotC site or such. "I'm a DM seeking players and am willing to use the internet to facilitate play" is usually an easy sell.

8 PM yours... around 2-3 pm mine. It would needs to be a a week day without Uni for me, and if so i'd try...
But i'm not highly dependable currently.

So around 1-2 PM in Europe and...
what? something like 8-5 AM USA?
So likely people without a 9 to 5 job from Europe and the East coast.

Lemme know if there's any way I can help out, mate - I can likely prod by those times on occasion, and I believe I have a fairly good track record as PC facilitator on TSM.

Would be rad to see you more active again, in whatever capacity!

Sounds like you could match up kid and V with Keren and Sylvaine. Should be a good match with level range. Though much like kid, I wouldn't play anywhere near that accent.

that's a total of 3 people. DnD requires 2 or more players. I think you can play :)

In fairness, that timezone never was very strong in ALFA 2. Even when indio still DMed us right after live we were never more than what, eight on paper and five or six logged in simultaneously?

Na, we need noobs. I wouldn't play Keren atm, and I don't think Dorn wants to DM lv15s... No fun.

It's not a perfect fit for me either, I just really like Dorn (God knows why).

Spot on. I was thinking lowbies.

I was thinking a very story focused 'campaign' alongside heavy char development.

Who knows, you might end up with your own tavern, village, temple, merchant house, hereditary crest, or guild.....or dead.

Probably try and balance set and forget encounters and forum interaction to compliment a session.

But if you guys aren't available or willing to go back to level 1 no worries.

I was thinking Tues night.

We would probably need to herd the highbies together to attract a DM-- if that was accomplished by scampering them to BG then you'd be able to throw a lowbie at Dorn's thing (of course, IC motivations to do that might be lacking, so that's not necessarily plausible).

Though DMing on TSM leaves it a harder sell to attract people who aren't currently ALFAns to the campaign, you might still have luck by venturing into the Internet in search of players. If you assume that participants can only come from here, you'll probably have fewer players than you could.

Zyrus (level 11) is available to be DMed on MS or BG, if you're looking for a neutralish mercenary tank/bruiser/caster.
First Character: Zyrus Meynolt, the serene Water Genasi berserker. "I am the embodiment of the oceans; serene until you summon the storm." Zyrus: http://tinyurl.com/9emdbnd

Second Character: Damien Collins, the atypical druid. "What? Being a stick in the mud is boring. No pun intended grins"
