Anyone with an empty or broken p-chest, please read

kiyoti's problem is likely an area/placeable issue. The other p-chests have their files missing. I've restored my backup and will restart the server when I can.

I haven't received any word on what the issue has been on MS.

Shouldn't need to restart the server for that. If the files are in the directory when the pChest is opened, they should be loaded. Like so.

Hmm that did not seem to work when I'd first tried it, but I'd like to restart the server since we just had an exploiter/script-kiddie on it anyway.

pChests in the Silver Spires seem to have become nuked sometime over the last few weeks, too.

The chest in the master bedroom of The Owl Burrow does not open either.

I believe something must have gone "good" with a backup restoration. I went and checked the Purple Chest previously mentioned, its guts are "back"... though the long since decimated Yellow Chest is still gone.

Turns out the Purple one had some surplus stuff worth using / distributing so I'm partially "experimenting" to see if by next reset it is completely kaput again, by taking anything worth having and just leaving socks and underwear level junk in it. I will owe some $$$ from Rhaggot to DM Ronan who'd previously ballparked "last known values" of what we figured was a dead and unrecoverable chest, turns out it did get salvaged. Yay.

When I target the chest it says "used my key". after that i cant even target the chest let alone open it.

So, a brief separation of issues. If a pChest can't -open-, it's that the placeable doesn't have an inventory. That'd be server (and chest) specific, best fixed in the toolset.

The issues where boxes with inventories are sometimes losing their contents is the insidious one that we don't have any information about the nature of.

Insidious issue also hit docks warehouse chest "c" which had inventory of negligible value. Might've been clothes or similar crap.

Pstorage for at least 2 players so far reported as completely empty... (I had a lot of stuff in there too...). Unsure if it's related, but seems like there's other DB related issues going on as well atm, the player reports are (falsely) listing 10 people logged onto BG.

P storage seems to be broken on all four servers. I recommend not using it.

Are any of these failures confirmed as being after the 1.92 release?

Would be nice to know if the live servers are seeing failures; we still can't reproduce the issue on test servers.

All cases that i know of were reported well before the latest release.

Well, I'm fairly sure no one is actually using p-storage anymore, at least not for important items. I'll be on tonight, and can put some test-items in the server's empty and previously-broken chests. Then we can see if they poof in a month or something.
