Saw it.
Liked it. Some excellent ideas I thought - Smaug getting covered in molten gold for one. Excellent imagery and theme. I thought he was suitably large, stalking-ish and menacing.
Quite pleased it wasn't that faithful to the book, which I remember being quite boring (and I don't think would translate well into a good movie). Could probably have benefitted even more by being less faithful. There, I said it.

The only part for me that made me :/ was Legolas riding dwarfs down the river. The rest was all good.
