Ronan has provided a link to this tool and I and presumably everyone else has added times but unfortunately this tool does not seem to give us the players any idea of when each other might overlap.

I won't really have a good idea what I'll be able to do until we get closer to October...

I think only the "owner" of the link gets a report on how stuff matches up... I'd wondered that about When Is Good when using it some other time for a Ronan thing.

Jealous! Good luck all of you on this, you'll certainly have great fun!

Important people that make decisions: 2-Pcs are allowed on ALFA. Please do not let people have 2 PCs on the same server. It's just another step of leniency that will make things slowly get worse. Mark my words, within a year, people will be allowed to have a PC on every server. :( Here I go again hey? sigh

No problem; I don't plan on finalizing anything until a week or two prior. Don't respond until you know your schedule. Currently the "best" start times are 8pm EST Sunday or 8-9pm on various weekdays. I am partial to including BB if he will continue to be the "party scribe" as he does with SE. Session logs are valuable for people who miss sessions.

I'm not sure if I should cap the number of players or not. IME its pretty rare for everyone to show up to a session so a full party of 9 might be do-able. I generally err on the side of more PCs and less personal attention, especially if the plot can provoke RP within the party.

Also, forget I said anything about monks :P We can't have them make up half of the party, unless said party wants to get its ass kicked.

I shall endeavor to remove "one of" from this statement, or kill you trying! It will be my first clean-slate DMing, and I think my best work (which really isn't saying a lot).

I updated the "WIG" tool - - remember to tell it your email so it can send you a personal link to keep doing updating. I'd forgot Sundays are a possibility.

I'd be okay "scribing" much like in the SE related forums. Apparently I write so much that we run the risk of believing in conservation of detail, but I no doubt miss some important stuff here and there too. Still it ends up provoking discussion or where needed, correction.

Also: roger on monk overload. I have a couple of other different ideas. One of which turned out weird when it turns out you have to pick feats in rolling up a character, before you get to the domains which might've granted free feats. Grumble.

Some of these look to be dependent on 2 PCs, 1 server being lifted for a campaign.

Everyone say what you are thinking of playing.

I am going to be playing a druid. It will be level 2. It will fit in just fine for whatever.
I'm thinking good aligned Dwarf with some kind of divine casting. I've been enjoying exploring the FS with Tralyn. If he ends up retired to do this awesome campaign and players/DMs would be cool with I might try another favored soul.

I'd have to say with my crazy RL schedule atm, consider everyone else's schedules as higher priorities, and I'll try and see if this is doable. :|

If I do get in I'll probably play a pureclass wizzie who focuses on making the rest of his minions...er, party... uber. If NWN2 lets you ban Evocation definitely going to do so; the aim is to make a PC who thinks it's a pathetic waste of time for wizards to bother drawing blood himself - it's beneath him, "Let the stupid grunts get their paws dirty".

OOCly people will love having him in the party, while wanting to strangle the arrogant bastard ICly at times if I succeed. :D

[edit] Previews of characteristic catchphrases/banter/battlecries/insults:

"Hmph. It's absurdly simple."

"Surely even a simpleton such as you might be able to grasp it?"

"At them my minions!" (to fellow party members)

"Pfeh, surely I'm wasting my valuable magical resources on the likes of your silly axe."

"With my magnificent arcane enhancements, my half blind, one legged and 8 fingered 900year old great grandsire can slay that monster - and yet you can't hit the broadside of a barn."

"Gah, must I do this myself?! Stick the pointy end in it's brain!"
Formerly: Aglaril Shaelara, Faerun's unlikeliest Bladesinger
Current main: Ky - something

It’s not the critic who counts...The credit belongs to the man who actually is in the arena, who strives violently, who errs and comes up short again and again...who if he wins, knows the triumph of high achievement, but who if he fails, fails while daring greatly.-T. Roosevelt

It really depends on the median party level. I can scale this thing to higher levels, within reason, but want the party to be relatively balanced. Assuming we get a lot of complete noobs I'd say the cutoff is at and including level 4.

For the record, I am looking at a Bard type. With skills in information type skills. And lying. Lots of lying.

Allegedly. You can't prove anything!

I'd also encourage people not to rush to the higher end of the potential starting level spectrum, enjoy level 1/2 with the rest of us. If I do play before the campaign start, i'll be asking Ronan to dial back the xp on game day. Better to start off on from a similar level of effectiveness, no?

Level 2 for me, as well, but whatever floats other's boats.

Also, I am now having a gnome that is a druid so there is some healing covered and possibly some barkskinning after a few levels.

Can play back up/supportive diplomacy as well. OOC I don't want to steal ALL the limelight.

Kinda liked 1-2 as well from the perspective of "get used to the concept of TPK being a possibility." Kobolds with slings a terror, rather than "ah I already saved up for plate and a +1 weapon." Still, I guess the campaign is a long way away, 6+ weeks. I can see if multiclassed maybe wanting to be 1st in both classes to make a concept "start right" but eh. Will take some thinking anyhow.
